Why are we in a rush to sign Dak?

Jerry's in for a rude awakening though, if not from the media from the fans.

Everybody's last impression of Dak wasn't good and he's gonna hear it after the first pick this year no matter what and if things go bad that'll be it. I have a feeling Dak's already lost the fan base and you know there's nothing worse for Jerry than to hear boos directed at his boy in his house.

Always remember what Troy said. "Dallas isn't a Cowboy's town...it's a winner's town." And we booed him at the end too.
Dak Haters are a Fringe Element....

Dak Haters could not Fill a Stadium..

You guys give yourself too much credit....at most, half the Dak Haters are fans from other teams trolling the small minded Cowboy Fans.

The other half Dak Hate because of NON-Football Issues... :espn: :flagwave:

You've fallen for the hype. What you've said is both wrong and impossible.....unless Dak pays for next to nothing.

He's going to cost over $87m (2023-26) in PRORATED BONUS, so the Cap hit is going to be over $21m (per year) BEFORE HE's actually paid a dollar.

Stop looking at Hurts/Jackson deals as a comparison....a) theyre younger and b) no there's no arrears to payoff.
This doesn't make any sense.

No. Cowboys don't need to trade Dak right now at all. What kind of experience in business do you have? You keep Dak all this year and let him prove his worth once again. At the end of the season, if Dak refuses to give the team a discount on another contract extension, that's when you start shopping him around in the offseason. If you get no buyers, you draft his replacement early in next year's draft while you allow Dak to finish his contract which expires after next year.
You aren't getting his replacement in next year's draft because you're going to be picking in the 20s if you don't trade him now. The whole point is that if you want to replace him with a draft pick, you need to get in position to actually do that.

Good luck getting a franchise quarterback picking at 24

When you say "folks" are saying it you mean you and 2 others lol. Nobody thinks Dak was a better QB in 2016 than he is today.

And he threw for well over 200 yards last year without Amari....you mean he codlin't throw for over 200 yards when he had Allen Hurns as his #1?
LOL, this forum was littered with folks saying Dak needs to return to the game management offense of 2016, when he was at his best, after they started sweating watching Cooper Rush go 3-1. Mind you, this was after Dak looked like garbage against Tampa and his fanboys were saying that the season was over and the FO did nothing to help Dak..

Again.. you have a problem with basic logic..

What I stated was he couldn't throw for over 200 yards until Amari came, meaning WHEN HE DIDN'T HAVE TALENT SURROUNDING HIM. I never said CeeDee Lamb wasn't talented or this offense isn't full of talent, plus unlike 2016, this guy has the best TO defense in the league 2 years running, but they are effectively nullified by Mr. Pick 6. He's now in year 8, so congratulations to Dak for being able to pile up a bunch of meaningless yards against scrub teams and he still blows against zone coverage.

And BTW, Cooper Rush threw for close to 400 yards in his first start two years ago. Dak not being able to throw for over 200 years for Quincy Carter levels of futility was a fact that happened, before Amari had to bail him out and yell at him, telling him to throw the ball when DBs are sitting on the routes.

It's not my fault that they scapegoated Dez and said this offense would take off, as Dak wouldn't "force" the ball to Dez, as he "spreads the ball around"

We need another evaluation year??? We have already had 7. What could we possibly learn next year?

Longest tenured starting QB on one team in the league shouldn't need more evaluation.
It's amazing isn't it. "We" are still waiting for Dak to put "it" together, but this time, by reverting to a game management offense like in 2016....

For the sake of accuracy, Dak is mixed race. His father is the one who didn't do his job, but his mother did, meaning his fanboys playing the race card in regards to not liking Dak is ineptitude at it's finest. I'm pretty sure none of the Dak haters would mind Mahomes, who is also mixed race, on this team, so cut the race baiting garbage. I can pretty much guarantee also that knows QB play would love a prime Warren Moon in this era and on this team.

Key word was. By the time his second contract was due and what he was asking for, didn't really line up with what you were getting in terms of production.
I think you had to bring him back but I understand your perspective.

So what should Dak have done when he had Allen Hurns and Cole Beasley as his best receivers?

He didn’t say anything about race…..

Seems like you are baiting here….
His dad didn’t do his job? What does that even mean?

Again, it's not my fault they made the offense "Dak-friendly" to spread the ball around. I thought Dak "made" Cole Beasley, now he's the reason Dak sucked. Dak was still looking like complete garbage when Amare came, until the Philly game when Amari had to yell at him to throw the ball and again, he still sucked and continues to suck against zone coverage.

You guys just keep waffling with excuses...

I’m asking a question. We both agree Dak sucks and is limited right? So what did you think he should’ve done with Beasley and Hurns? And oh yeah Deonte Thompson. Can’t forget that one.

You and Dak fanboys played it in the past and are insinuating it here, so stop the nonsensical, childish denial routine. Reading you is like a defender reading the eyes of Dak staring down his receivers into an easy pick 6.
I have never played it and neither did he. Wow. So you race bait and then deflect on to others? Insane. Look in the mirror.

You and @Hennessy_King love to play it, It's like watching Dak and Zeke shirtless at house parties while COVID restrictions are in full force. That's how you justify Romo love over Dak, because the only logical explanation could be that Dak is light years better than Romo and any denial of it must be purely because of race..
