but Kellen has a thing for dak throwing it 60 times a game

Actually, it appears Dak audibles out of running plays a lot based on the formation. Cooper is mainly just running the plays as called.

Kellen's offense is predictable with Dak , and he won't adjust .

With Rush , he has one starting game this season and there is still almost no tape .

Once the teams study Rush , Im sorry to say that we are stuck with Kellen being EXPOSED again.

No way can Prescott be thought of as a bus driver or a Cousins comparison.

The idiot son went as far as to say Prescott is a top 3 QB and nobody has him close to that level. And that puts additional pressure on Prescott.

I find it interesting that Orlovsky and Young both think they should run the O they're running with Rush for Prescott when he comes back, it is so evident there are two different offenses.

Booger must have stars to market. Did you hear what he said about Parsons? "We've got big plans for Micah Parsons". What a completely ridiculous statement to make, players make their own plans through their play. He's so arrogant, he wants to take some of the shine from Parsons' natural talent. Without our plan, he's just a player.

Dak checked out of 14 runs week 1.

Dak has final say on field if it's run or pass.

Yea, this is a problem as well. We get behind and abort running game .

When we have our most success with Dak we play better with the lead. Like most teams probably do.

You can substitute the word Dak with QB. QB's do better with a run game that they can get play action off of. They also do better with a good defense. This is football and QB 101. Dak is no different then any other in that regard.

Cracks me up people believe teams respect/fear Dak able to beat teams deep on a consistent basis. Hence...teams crowd the line daring Dak. Rush on the other hand...is able to hit that window on the deep fade route....not only hit it...but puts it right on the money.

This could easily turn into a 10 page thread as the answer really isnt super simple.

1) Zeke being injured last year really hurt our ability to run
2) So far this year Tampa Bay was by far the best run defense we have faced
3) Dak has a tendency to check out of runs more often than Cooper Rush has shown so far
4) Very possible KM took more of a "back to basics" approach once Rush became the starter
5) Fewer penalties the last couple weeks - fewer situations of 10+ yards to go means more ability to run the football
6) We are seeing more downfield attempts right now than we have in recent Dak history. - This one may be incorrect as I didnt look up the data, but it certainly feels like Rush is taking more shots down field, and even those mid range throws.

and the list can go on and on. I have a ton of ideas as to why, but I struggle to pin point just once answer.

The prize is behind gate number 4. And that was the key to winning games 3 and 2. Which makes it the number 1 strategy. This and the awesome defense.

They think Dak is good enough for all the fancy stuff but maybe they should stick with the conservative approach once he's back.

Tyler Smith was thrown back to LT after playing LG all offseason. Then McGovern out and Farniok in. Martin started the season rusty - for him.

Rookie TEs may already block better than Schulz. And running with Peters in gave us some nice plays.

The oline upswing should continue when we get Farniok out for Peters.

Another thing - I think Rush plays under center more, giving the RBs a downhill run off the snap instead of a standing start next to the QB as in shotgun.

How our receivng lanes were much more open with Rush than they were with Dak because of a heavier dose of the RUNNING GAME!!!

You make great points, but I doubt he would want to sabotage team wins to try to be like those other great quarterbacks you've named.

Those are elite quarterbacks, Dak isn't that. He's very good but not elite.

Because the Giants aren't the best at run stopping and our offensive line isn't as bad as it is cracked out to be. Having Peters in on some critical blocking plays didn't hurt my feelings.

It seemed we ran more plays from under center which I think fits Zeke’s style of running. It also helps with play action and keeps the D honest. One thing I noticed though was several plays Rush would kill a play and majority of time it was a slow handoff behind LG, which I think is our weakest blocker.

We were running the ball effectively week 1. Why we didn't continue to is beyond me.

You could argue KM wasn't calling it or Dak was audibling out.

Kellen places far more confidence and responsibility load on Dak than Cooper.

Zeke was averaging 5 yards per carry vs Bucs who are one of the better run defenses in NFL, but leave to Kellen to stray away from it - and lead with the pass rather than
giving us a duo balance threat

This post is crap . Show Dak's stats against winning teams . And leave the garbage padded stats off, as thats what has bolstered his stats past year . He is awful against winning teams . How many times were we down 20+ last year and he threw for 200+ yards in the 4th, but only had less than 100 thru 3 quarters . T

The defense for dak is move the corners back give him the sidelines, he won't throw there. force him to throw in the middle with the safety's tight . This cloggs the middle, he won't throw into tight windows. It also cloggs the run game.
They tried this with Rush and he made them pay, throwing the ball deeper
They started playing cover 2 and all of the sudden are running game opened up So there's your answer.
Stick with rush we'll have great running attack

Yep when a team starts to respect your passing game and stop loading the box and challenging you to pass All of a sudden you're running game looks a lot better.

Dak is a selfish QB that audibles out of the run far too often so he can 'be the man'. Yes Moore is crap but Dak doesn't help.

It does help that D's don't have the same tape on Rush.. which is the same argument of why Romo should have got his job back all those years ago.. Dak looked great because he was in a situation to look great. We just lost our minds and here we sit five years later.. with an overpaid dud of a QB and nothing to show for a very talented roster.

I have always maintained that Daks early career success was on the back of Zeke being a dominant back at the time. It still holds true.. Dak only looks good when our running game looks good. Unfortunately EVERY team knows to clog up the run and force Dak to beat you with his arm.. most of the time he fails in that assignment.

Rush has already shown that he will throw the ball wide and often.. spreading out the defence and allowing our backs to hit holes.

The truly scary thing is that Rush does look better than Dak.. and Rush is not a very good NFL QB..
