Why couldn't have Romo been lucky, like Foles?

Foles inherited a magical one season with Philly. Everything played out to his favor. Tony played his *** off for over 13+ yrs, ends up in the booth.

...Was it bad luck? Destiny? or other (in house, *cough, cough*..) scenarios?

PS.. keep it simple, might help. :omg:

Genetics. Darwin. David Icke. The Queen of England.
Who could stand up to that, collectively?

And team building, Foles didnt do it alone, good OL , Very good defense , overall team with not too many holes . Basically no Jerry , no JG ( whos scheme is so outdated) and coach who was not afraid to experiment

Beating Tom and Bellicheck in SB is no small feat. NYG (& Eli) did it with their Elite defense and some luck ( miracle stick catches)

Even though I like beloved Tony , I am sad that we as Cowboys( team and fans) didn't win a SB , let some good individual performers( Witten ,Ware ...) down since Jerry & co didnt build a solid team around them.

GM/HC

Philthy ownership, GM, and coaching > Dallas ownership, GM, and coaching

Eagles have a super bowl D. We do not. Is that simple enough?

Without the defensive support, the Eagles never make it out of the Atlanta game.

I mean, coaching.

Although they were few....Romo had his opportunities.

2007 - 13 Pro Bowlers on the team. In the playoff game Tony was 18 of 36, 1 TD and 1 INT. Rating of 64.7.

Didn't help himself in that playoff game, lost to a Giants team they had beaten twice in the regular season, playing at home.

He was young then, and no doubt that factored into it, but still he didn't play well.

Love Tony, but you have to admit he had a great chance that year...

Yeah, the 2007 team was the best we've had overall.

They still lost by 3 TDs vs New England that year. I suspect if Dallas had beaten NY then the Pats win the SB

fwiw, it wasn't a great game by Romo, but the QB rating is very deceiving.
Just the last two plays would've flipped it a lot. (QB rating of 91)
Threw a perfect game winning TD pass --not to be--on the next to last play

Then, with time up and 4th down, and no where to throw it, he threw it into the end zone. It was picked but he just threw it in the vs throwing it out of bounds because it was our only chance.
We also had a bunch of huge drops that day.
He did take some bad sacks that game though.. But NY shut down all offenses that post season--especially new England in the SB.

Agree...missed opportunity to at least advance deep in the playoffs.
Oh well
