Why Cowboys and other teams are not interviewing Bill Belichick

I guess the billionaires are all tightwads with the cash lol . It explains why the jones boys were not interested. They would have to pay 20 + 6 for mikes last year.

You get what you pay for. And Jerry who said money was no problem to win another SB, but I guess it is.

Then there is the full power thing, they would not have any say in draft, FA, etc.

The recent record is easily explained, Brady left because he knew the talent had all left, and drafting in lower rounds EVERY year adds up.

Since brady left Bill had the team with no talent and had to make do with a lower round QB. Hard for any coach to win with that.

It is a shame as it would have been interesting to see what Bill could have done with the current cowboys players.
There would not have been a rebuild, but just some adjustments.
One thing for sure cowboys would have been prepared to play games, and not just show up to play with a stupid game plan.
Our defense would take out of the game the other teams best player.
Dak would have been good enough to win, as BB won a SB when brady was just a bus driver who didnt make mistakes.

The jones boys passed up a golden opportunity, and so have the other teams.
Also bill wanted the cowboys job, so may have given in on the gm and full power thing. But jones boys saw that 20 mil tag and blew him off .
Too expensive for ol jerry lol he couldnt afford Bill is bottom line.
If you are an Owner or GM or in our case both are you going to build your team around a 72 year old coach? How long is your contract going to be?

I read the ESPN article that dug into insider reports on what went wrong with Belichick and Atlanta. Remember, he went in as the favorite.

Apparently, he talked about himself out of the job because he wanted full control of the roster and the ability to change it dramaticaly if needed which scared the ATL.

So that there tells me it never would have been kosher with the Jones Boys either, although I would have welcomed a 3-4 shift. Good luck though having another 2005 draft to build that unit! That was one of our team's all-time drafts!

Parcells knew how to give up controls to get the job, not sure Belichick can do the same. And whether it's the right or wrong thing for a HC to do, we all know the last thing our Owner/GM Staff wants is a Head Coach who thinks he has full control.
Parcells took the job cuz he needed $ for a divorce

How’s it been working for Jerry the last 29 years?
I get all the negatives on BB, still the GOAT.
Should give it a try all I am saying before he expires, but I know he wont

It should scare Atlanta! The 2023 Patriots had the most gutted out offense that I've seen in a while, and Belichick handpicked every player on there.

My initial thought was Bill would want a lot of money. The Cowboys have the same plan with FA and coaches every year. On coaches, that is correct, they do not want to pay a lot to a coach and Jerry likes when the HC calls his own plays. So they want the experience of the head coach on game day and likely don't want the coordinator getting hired away after a few years. The problem with Bill other then the money is he would want his own staff and likely would make some big changes. I think Jerry didn't want the disruption and firing of all the current staff along with paying a huge salary. Personally I would get Bill he's probably worth it. The hard part would be Mike coached the team to a good season. Its hard to fire someone for that then turn around and pay $26M for a coach when your only paying $6M now. I don't see Mike taking this team to the Superbowl, but keeping him doesn't rock the boat and I guess that's the important thing. Its the same thing with UDFA and FAs. The mentality is come to Dallas because of the Star but your only getting the vet min. If you're a FA signing to Dallas make sure to get the money guaranteed because otherwise you could be cut in training camp.

When Belichick decided to go with 2 DC's, as the OC in year 2 of of Mac Jones' career, after a strong rookie performance, his fate was sealed in NE. Then wonder why Mac's performance dropped.

His best chance would have been with Washington with a new Owner who needs experience.

Money is not the issue in the NFL.

Ok so let me go on record that I hate the Eagles. But they are a very good organization.
Been in the SB twice in the last 6 years.
So they fire their head coach 3 years( Pederson) after winning SB because he didn't want to fire his coordinators or some of them, so Lurie fires him.

A really good pro football writer from area I live is @ Senior Bowl practices in Alabama. Being there he hears things and he said Eagles went back channel to Belichick in case Sirianni didn't want to agree to get new assistant coaches like Doug Pederson didn't want to do. But Sirianni agreed to it and got another year. But he could be gone next year if they don't do well. Don't be surprised if BB coaches next year somewhere and gives up some control like Parcells did.

Point is Eagles are about winning SB's and Dallas front office is not. They have a top 10 QB and should get the right people around him

They’ve painted themselves into a corner when they gave Hurts big money and a no trade clause. Sound familiar? They were foolish to go with two first time coordinators at OC and DC. Now they’re going with two experienced ones. Some credit for knowing what they were doing didn’t work. That doesn’t mean what they’re doing now will get them any closer to winning a Super Bowl.

Bs the guy won 11 games in Cleveland before modell screwed over the franchise. He won 11 games with Matt cassell and went to the playoffs with mac Jones.
Go look at the schedule they beat to reach the playoffs with Mac Jones, only to get their doors blown off. Then look at Jones since then. BB is such a genius he followed up Jones rookie year by making a DC and special teams coach his co-offensive coordinators. How did that work out?

BB is a dinosaur of a coach. His team had no speed at skill positions, and he used the 2023 draft to take 3 offensive linemen, a punter, and a kicker. He's no genius. He's not saving this, or any other, franchise. His time has passed. Stop looking for warm bodies in graveyards.
