I think Urban is a better WR right now.

Based on what? looking at what little game experience either has, Austin has shown to be the better WR

I think Urban would help the team more right now.

Even though he is not as good a WR or ST as Austin?

I dont think Austin is all that on STs either. TT can do everything he does.

TT cant be the gunner neither can Urban
Since you brought up Urban, LOL;), I will tell you what I think. Just a scrappy last WR/STs type. Is he a project? 4 year veteran. I think he is what he is.

a 4 year vet that has still shown nothing to make a roster what does that tell you?

I really dont mean to kill Austin. Just being honest. I like his speed, I just doubt very much there is ever a pay off in the passing game.

The #6 WR for any team is not going to be doing much in the passing game hence ST being important to them and there Austin Wins hands down. He is also younger, faster, bigger. When you are talking the end of the depth chart you are looking for upside, and thats why Austin is here

Huh? Autin has never caught a pass. What r u basing it on? As far as this summer, he struggled at WR for the most part. Urban on the other hand has much more game experience and did not struggle in the passing game. Thats why he was with us so long. He made plays. Obaviouly not enough.

Its not even close as to who the more productive NFL WR has been to date. Urban is not all that, but hes a better WR than Austin right now. IMO.

What would make you think Austin was better than anyone at WR?

True, Hurd and Elam can tho. I was just referring to KOs.

What are you talking about? He has been an NFL WR for years. He had a falling out with Seattle after being put on IR over a broken foot.

Good point. But, they are the same size, I believe.

IIRC They are about the same height but Austin is bigger and faster.

Listen buddy, its clear you know very little about either player. You have never seen either catch a ball in the regular season, but your an expert! LOL!

I dont know which TC you followed, but here is a couple snipts. I am sure you'll tell me I am wrong or "in-credible";)

Is Miles Austin in trouble?

MICHAEL AINSWORTH / DMN

Wade Phillips was raving about rookie wide receiver Isaiah Stanback today. Stanback (right) caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brad Johnson on Saturday night. The Cowboys plan on using Stanback more on kickoff returns.
Does this mean the end of Miles Austin, who bailed out the team last season on special teams when Tyson Thompson was hurt?
Maybe. Austin slipped at the end of his route, which resulted in Tony Romo throwing an interception on Saturday.
You can believe T.O., Terry Glenn, Pat Crayton and Sam Hurd are locks. Stanback is there, too. But if he can return some kicks, will the team send Austin packing?
Jerard Rabb and Jerheme Urban are looking pretty good in practice, so they might push Austin out as well.
Just a thought.

Who was OFF tonight?
Miles Austin had a horrible night, just when you thought Austin was up there at the WR spot, tonight’s performance makes you say, “uh oh” He missed routes, didn’t go hard enough for the passes Romo threw him, disappointing game. Sam Hurd didn’t have as bad a night, but he did have a fumble, but made up for it later and solid in special teams.

So, I go by what actually happened. Not being fooled by a little speed!

And I raise your article with this one

http://www.dallascowboys.com/news.cfm?id=C390BECD-C443-E28A-0FCEDFE49FC71EAF

Wide Receiver (6)
Terry Glenn
Terrell Owens
Patrick Crayton
Sam Hurd
Miles Austin
Isaiah Stanback
Summary:
This is one position that might have been predicted accurately from the start of training camp. Glenn, Owens and Crayton have been set as the top three for a while, and Hurd has made himself a close fourth. The Cowboys were never going to part with Stanback, a fourth-round pick who hasn't had time to show his adjustment from a college quarterback to a receiver. Austin is simply better on special teams than Urban, and that likely helped him stick around.

When did Urban get playing time at WR? At the end of the game playing with the other scrubs who are looking for jobs. He's got some ability as a wr, but he was always behind Austin in even that capacity. Austin came in with Hurd or after Hurd was taken out.

Obviously I was talking in preseason games you know the games where these guys show the team what they have.

The guy is going into his 4th year and has 13 catches come on

Umm this is his 4th year he was a rookie with seattle in 2004, he was out of football last year (PS), in 2004 and 2005 he did not make the team out of camp he was signed later in season

They are the same height, Austin has a few more pounds on his frame, and is alot faster

It's extremist and false.

He's not a good WR, but just cuz he's not good doesn't mean he's "Awful".

So after all that your admitting he isnt good, LOL! Thats what I meant by awful.

Actually, Urban came into the league in 2003 and was on the Seahawks practice squad, then he made their team in 2004 and 2005. He then got injured in 2006, they waived him and during the season the Cowboys put him on their practice squad and let him get healthy.

I just went thru the 2004 and 2005 seahawks transactions, he made their practice squads those years and was called up later in the season

Which has nothing to do with what I said, it furthers my point he has been in the league since 2003 and cant make a 53 man roster.

You did read my posts right?

Yes, thats the problem. I've been reading yours, you just refuse to read mine(or yours for that matter) I was just correcting you about when he came into the league and you did a run around on me. Thanks for wasting our time.

I did no run around, By not saying anything about 2003 I was acknowledging it, My posts were about the rest of your post where you said he made the team in 04-05.
