People don’t hate the man.

Certain people don’t like him as the quarterback of their favorite team because he can’t get them over the hump.

And I’m one of those fans.

There’s enough freaking HATE in the world.

He’s just the quarterback of the now defunct America's Team.
Trust me cowboy brother there’s people here that hate him and they’ll tell you in a second

Oh you're basing everything on the sole season he had no running game, a bad offensive line and one receiver? That's fair I guess.

But I'm talking about a body of work.

You're real good with stats. Now post his career winning percentage, his career interception to touchdown ratio, and his career ranking average since he's been in the league.

I bet you won't do that.....
What happens when he doesn’t have all stars all around him basically when he eats up $60m of the cap.

Bottom league average.

Dak is a good QB. He just is not a put the team on my back and win QB like Mahomes or even Romo for that matter. He could win a Super Bowl if a good number of the rest of the team is elite and well coached. Problem is, with his high pay, it is hard to have many other elite players.

Jerry made it clear to dak that he would need to elevate the team this year once that contract was signed, Dak knew what he signed up for. He put pen to paper knowing that we don't have a great line and rb to help him this year.

Jimmy Johnson said it best, You don't hand the highest contract to a player that's not even the best in the league.

Bottom line, Dak was regressing in 22 and he had an awful showing against GB again in the playoffs. We could have let him play out the final year of his contract this season before making a decision but didn't and instead making him the highest paid player in history and low and behold his regression continued. Now we have a mediocre at best QB with a crippling cap charge that has less talent around him to make him look even decent. We are screwed.
Was his agent going to dismiss last year, in contention for the MVP (actually had better stats than the announced MVP), and looking at playoff film against GB and saying it was all my client's fault? SMH.

I hate that he's the QB because he's not good enough to elevate his team while eating that huge piece of pie.

Other than that I think he's just a lying (I don't play for money, I do it for the brotherhood) cornball (pour honey on me, go ahead and jump off).

I'm sure he's super nice though.

Dak's 2024 stats (out of 39 starting qb's that played at least 6 games this season):
  • TD % - 3.8% (29th/39)
  • INT % - 2.8% (11th highest/39)
  • Success Rate - 45.3% (23rd)
  • Air Yards/Att - 6.43 (27th)
  • Passer Rating - 86.0 (27th)
  • QBR - 45.8 (33rd)
In what world does this scream "consistently be in the top 10" to you?
Monkey response.

Straight from Cam Newton's 4th and 1.....

Before the season started and QB evals were being done Dak v. other players, notably this one.

We're comparing Dak to another QB with similar stats over their last 50 starts. That's over 3 years' worth of stats. Remember, this was before the season started. Here we go:

Dak Other QB
W/L 33-17 36-14 practically a wash
Pass TDs 105 105
INTs 38 39
Pass Rtg 101.3 98.9
Yds/Att 7.6 7.5
Comp % 68.4 66.8

Many of you know where this is going, though some may not. The other quarterback's stats are those of Patrick Mahomes.

A QB's legacy is built in the post-season, and I won't argue with that. I will argue that PM had better offenses every year, while we were supposed to have a better defense than KC.

Point the finger wherever you want, but the stats don't lie. Football is a 22 man game, and I'd argue that Dak was doing his job. Like him, don't like him, I don't care. Just remember that there are very few QBs that match up to him that also happen to be available.

Somehow Mahomes has always had a running game. Going into this season, it was obvious that we had problems at the RB position, and that was a killer.

Food for thought as we head into the off-season and begin building our team for next year.

Until next year......

(formatted this right before I posted. It's whack once I hit post)
Let's say I have the exact same attendance as my co-worker. We worked the exact same hours, make the exact sales numbers, etc. We get the same amount of opportunities.

But when we do quarterly presentations to close deals with high-end clients, I excel and my co-worker EPICALLY FAILS. Is my co-worker fired? Probably not. But does anyone in their right mind compare us to another? NO.

There is not even one attention-starved pundit who puts Dak and Baby GOAT in the same breath.

nah, i genuinely like Dak the person and love hes made it big despite all the stuff that has happened to his family.

However, the dude just does not have "it" in big games to step up and live up to what hes paid. And in terms of what hes paid, it hurts getting talent to help him. Almost every playoff game or against a good team he just folds over, this is why 90% of the people who dont like him as QB, dont like him. I doubt your strawman argument for most people here.

But then again Dak could be paid peanuts and Jerruh and Cap boy wouldnt spend a dime on any meaningful free agents, prob just give Overshown a 45mil/yr contract
Dak is only annoying to me when he is coping hard. Other than that, he's a model citizen and he tries to stay out of the circus. That said, he's a choker...so nothing else matters.

I believe him, he’s not playing for the money. he didn’t twist Jerry’s arm. He’d be stupid not to take it and I’m glad he did. People’s excuse that hurt the team, that’s baloney. We have a ton of money.

Yep, I stopped reading when he brought up Mahomes, difficult to mention both in the same post.

It's strange how the comments about 2nd MVP votes have died away with Dak's below 'NFL average' stats in the 8 games he managed.
i mean, why is that strange? they only came up when he was playing at that level.
