Why did it take Moore leaving for Dak to get "control" of the offense?

You do realize that you are posting on a Cowboys forum "pretending" to be a Cowboys fan...EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Scratch that... You are here every single day of every single year. You post on a Cowboys forum 365 days out of the calendar year. You do realize that when you talk about people being conned. You are the person being conned the absolute most. Even though you hate this team, Jerry Jones team lives rent free in your head 365 days in the year. Damn bro. I even feel bad for you now.
Why you so emotional?

Good points and yeah I came away thinking the same not sure if I heard it on the radio or from a coach but yeah a big issue they feel like were Dak and the receivers not being on the same page. Whether it was Dak or the receivers....they want to eliminate error and it seems like a big issue hearing from some of the receivers is weren't were they were suppose to be at times.
A new post was put up after I posted from Jerry confirming this. I actually like that change. It isn't that they won't adjust a route or play, but simply that the route will be set once the play starts so that there is less of a chance of miscommunication. Considering how many times over the years we've seen the receiver read the coverage one way and the QB read it another, I'm good with this.

Because they had to wait till Moore left before they could dumb down the offense?

Jerry OWN WORDS have been that they have lessened pre-snap decisions, post snap decisions, and more short dump off plays to make the offense easier for Rayne to succeed in

before you hammer your humble messenger, remember that this is straight from Jerry’s own mouf.
LOL.....didn't they do the exact same thing for Aikman in the 90's?

I've asked him this numerous times and he won't answer. I don't even think he knows why as an Eagle fan he comes on this site lol.

He had the ability to audible but from what it looks like now he has the ability to call his own plays or if he sees an edge against the defense he can call his own play. Just listening to The Fan over the last few days its seems he didn't have nearly the freedom I think we thought he had.
I don't think it's quite call his own play, just more flexibility within a play. Under Garrett/Moore, he could audible out of a pass or into a pass, could change the direction a play was run, etc. He might have two or three plays total he could switch to. Under McCarthy, it sounds like he's going to be able to actually alter routes within the play. If he sees the defense playing back, maybe he motions to a receiver to run a slant instead of into the deep middle, nothing else changes by that. It's not that huge of a change because the receivers had options for their routes based on the coverage, but this way Dak and the receiver both know exactly what the receiver is going to do. The disadvantage of it is that the defense is going to try to disguise coverage so that Dak sees one thing and adjusts the route while the defense actually is doing something else. Since the receiver can't sight adjust after the ball is snapped, he just has to essentially serve as a decoy. Of course, maybe that's why we are working on more check-downs to the backs. If Dak reads it wrong, he can dump off and move on to the next play.

I don't remember ever hearing that about Aikman.......if it was done, was it done going into his 8th season?

I seem to remember that Norv Turner was there from 91 to 93 , since Troys 2nd season and I don't remember Turners offense being scaled down for Troy .

Unless now the Coreyll, Zampese/ Turner offenses are now being considered dumb?

I may be off here but did the Cowboys not change the offense in the early 90's to make thins simpler for the offense?

"Turner's take on the Coryell system turned around the career of Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman, and has also proven to be very successful with talented high draft picks struggling with the complexities of the NFL"

This is exactly what you just said about the Cowboys and Prescott. Making things simpler doesn't equate to "dumbing it down". I've never seen a "dumbed down offense". Unless you think we are going to start running a Lamar Jackson led offense.

I've been reading reports on camp and the receivers seem to be impressing from Tuprin, Tolbert, Moreno-Cropper....I've heard conflicting stuff on Simi heard he's looked better as well.

Then there's talk of Dak taking control of the offense.

Why did it take Kellen Moore to leave for some of these things to happen?
Short answer: Jerry Jones

Wow…that’s hard to believe if he didn’t have the freedom to call his own plays if he saw a match-up that could exploited.

What is considered t "aking control of the offense " ?

What has happened in mere training camp that decides the difference between Kellen vs McCarthy offenses ?

For the short answer you would have to remember what Dak said about Moore when they were on Hard Knocks that one year. Which was basically that he considered Moore to be a "football genius." What that means is that Dak trusted everything Moore told him. And sometimes.. Moore was wrong.
