Why did it take Moore leaving for Dak to get "control" of the offense?

For the short answer you would have to remember what Dak said about Moore when they were on Hard Knocks that one year. Which was basically that he considered Moore to be a "football genius." What that means is that Dak trusted everything Moore told him. And sometimes.. Moore was wrong.
Ahhh....great point.

What is considered t "aking control of the offense " ?

What has happened in mere training camp that decides the difference between Kellen vs McCarthy offenses ?
That's just how I've heard this offseason described. I heard Lamb say he now has control of the offense.

I've been reading reports on camp and the receivers seem to be impressing from Tuprin, Tolbert, Moreno-Cropper....I've heard conflicting stuff on Simi heard he's looked better as well.

Then there's talk of Dak taking control of the offense.

Why did it take Kellen Moore to leave for some of these things to happen?
I'm tired of the attempts to analyze what is different...we won't know until real games.

WRs get the most buzz early in camp almost every year. Some guys like Dennis Houston last year will look all world for a few weeks in camp.

It’s the offseason…..I’d love to analyze games but we don’t have any. The point isn’t what’s different the point is guys look far more prepared now than they did last year at this time.

We know how this all ends. Dak can be good, yes I said good, at backyard football. No planning, fire from the hip, chaotic football. However, when he plays good teams, that type of play doesn't work, it's not sustainable, and his weaknesses shine through. No planning, low accuracy, short field of vision, etc.

The cowboys have known this for years. His best consistent play comes from regulated systems and moderation. They will probably turn him loose this year in what they are calling a Dak friendly system. He will either feast or famine.

I predict he will do much of the same as last year. Have some great games, have some terrible games, and at the end shown no growth, and lose either at the end of the season or one in done.

KMo ran the O he wanted to run, as opposed to running an O that fits Dak's skillset. Square peg round hole thingie.

You rang?

People's minds have been poisoned by Disney to believe that "if you just believe, all your dreams will come true." Therefore, year after year they go into orbit with what they want to come true and then get mad when brought back to Earth by reality. People treat relationships this way too, by the way. Lol.
Good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha so true. They have probably never heard, "Fool me once shame on you
Fool me twice shame on me."
Have you heard it? You’re a fool like the rest of us. Some of you are more foolish than others. Some watch the Cowboys to just to see them fail.

I actually enjoy watching the Cowboys but don't live and die with the team like I did
before 2012. One consolation I do get is seeing these fools who argue with me suffer for not listening.
