Why did they trade Amari Cooper again?

No.It.Wasn't.

With Cooper on this team last year we beat SF and likely Philly.
Depends on which version of Cooper. We lost to SF in the 2019 playoffs and he shrunk in the second half. Why would last year be any different? The only question is why we got so little for him. I don’t think his departure was well managed.

He was always hurt during the week but rarely on game day. His salary. His lack of effort at times particularly in his last playoff game. Didn't he miss a few games because he wasn't vaccinated also? Add it all up.

He can say it was all about the money but it was pretty clear Jerry was peeved about Cooper missing games during the whole thing we are not allowed to talk about here. Jerry seemed to think Cooper put himself before the team.
Spot on

The Cowboys wanted Cooper's $20 million off the books. They might have entertained a restructure but the playoff loss after the 2021 season sealed the deal for them. On Dallas' last drive he was running half speed on his routes. And he didn't even try to block on passes to Lamb and Pollard that would have gained more yards if he did.

Also Dallas felt that Lamb was ready to step into the number one receiver role and they were right. Their mistake last year was not finding someone to take Lamb's old number two spot.

Would he have made a difference against arizona?

we'd still be 2-1 and i loved Cooper here but we gotta stop seeing our former talent have big games and then act like we made a mistake

Yall have to stop with the Kirk Cousins bs. It never happened, use your brains.
How could you possibly know it never happened?

Either way, I bet he laughed about the rumor and
gave a nod and wink of approval to it.

The GM clearly made a mistake. A series of them, actually.

If you're going to get rid of your best wide receiver, at least GET SOMETHING FOR HIM. Get at least a 2nd rounder. If you did it to free up cap room, DO SOMETHING WITH THE CAP SPACE. We literally made our offense worse for no reason other than to save money. This is why we can't beat teams that actually are fully invested in winning. The cowboys aren't interested in winning a superbowl. They are interested in putting out a team that is reasonably priced and looks good enough to keep the circus going.

I forgot Cooper played for the Cowboys, to be honest, and I haven't heard much about him since.

Wasn't half this board whining about his no-show on road games, sitting on the sidelines and not putting himself in the game when hurt, and his lack of effort during games? I seem to remember quite a bit of that.

It was stupid to only get a 5th for him, but it's water under the bridge. Do you really think his presence would have lifted this team over SF last year in a road playoff game? lol

Because the entire story made no sense. The timeline didn't work. The fact it is supposed to have happened in a crowded post game locker room and then not have immediately become news is stupid. We'd have had the entire story 15 minutes after the alleged dispute happened.

I like Brandon Cooks. You get close to the same player, give or take 100 - 200 yards...on average.

That was part of it. But then his contract demands would have been too high if you consider our upcoming class of stars, with Parsons likely setting a record for his deal - when it comes.

I'm just scraping to make it all happen. And he's already set, looking ahead at that contract.

Must be nice. Lol
