No, but it was Dak who couldn't move the ball against an average defense to keep his team in it. He was horrible. Again. It wasn't Dak that gave up 5.6yd/carry and 3TDs to Aaron Jones.

weak minded. they fold. I mean CD went to the side line after a little bit of a tough start and pouted. the coach had to come talk to him. THE COACH IN THE MIDDLE OF MOST IMPORTANT GAME had to come and talk to him. where was the fight? where was the heart? Dak panicked. Parsons disappeared. the team became undisicplined and they all went the individual route. coaches allowed them. Quinn spent more time interviewing than preparing a game plan. Both the Cowboys and 49ers were playing at home. Both teams were down by multiple scores.
One roared back behind timely defensive stops and a few momentum changing plays. The other went out with a whimper.
What is the source of the contrast? Is it talent? Is it intestinal fortitude?
I'll say this, Shanahan looked like you could fry an egg on his forehead at the end of the 1st half. He was visibly perturbed. I wish I could hear his halftime speech because his players, his leaders like Deebo, came out with a chip on their shoulder in the 3rd quarter. Top, down they have something that is a completely foreign concept in Dallas - football character.
Cowboys need to spend all offseason dissecting what is preventing them from fighting back when they are put in a corner like the 49ers did last night.
how many picks have been dropped by Dallas opponents this year?It helps that SF had a defense that didn't let the score get entirely away from them.
It also helped that Detroit fumbled a handoff that led to 7 points and that receivers dropped passes.
It also helped that Purdy threw three ints that hit defenders right in the hands that were all dropped in addition to the actual int. He had 4 the previous week. His lucky int drops allowed him to make 2-3 plays to win the game instead of getting the "choker" label. It's still a team game.
Exactly, I'm pretty sure every time the other team scores you get a chance to score. Yet we got down 27-0.No, but it was Dak who couldn't move the ball against an average defense to keep his team in it. He was horrible. Again.
We were down by 20 at the half and got the ball to start the 2nd half. The 49ers were down by 17, only a 3 point difference in the 2 games. The difference is the 49ers defense adjusted and shut the Lions down in the 2nd half. The Cowboys defense continued to allow the Packers to keep scoring points, 14 in the 3rd quarter.Niners were down by 17. We were down by 27.
We have a QB who is a deer in the headlights. The team knew it. After Dak's first INT at the 20, everyone and their mom's knew the game was over. Same story ... same ending.
They were down three scores.A lot of people will blame Dak, but in reality the 9ers defense making stops early in the 3rd was what gave them a legit shot at coming back.
You need a bit of luck for that to happen as well. That catch by Aiyuk which ricocheted off the CB was luck. The ball has to bounce your way, plus Detroit coach and his aggressiveness did not work. If they would have converted either of their 4th down plays, the story would have ended differently. Both the Cowboys and 49ers were playing at home. Both teams were down by multiple scores.

Wow the amount of reaching Dak homers do to make excuses for him. Maybe it's just hard to come down from 17 20 or 27 points and you're just going to lose most of the time probably 95% of the time if you do. Dak should be competitive in both the first half and second half to make sure he didn't get down that much instead of getting down 27-0 (which means defense gets an F- and offense gets an F-) and blaming it all on the defense. There was no reason to get down that much at home against the 7 seed. Dak does not get a pass because his defense didn't hold them to 0 in the second half.Another invitation to bash Dak. But the difference is much more obvious. The 49ers were down 24-7 at the half and did not allow Detroit to score another point until they scored a garbage time TD. If Dallas had shut down GB in the 2nd half like they, they would have won despite being down 27-7 at the half. The 49ers made some defensive adjustments in the 2nd half. The Cowboys didn't.
It is against my nature to question players mental state, but the Cowboys looked defeated going into the 2nd half, especially on defense. The 49ers in the 2nd half, looked determined to stop the Lions offense.
Exactly some ridiculous dropped passes by the offense and defense. I am still wondering why the safety tried to catch the ball with his facemask lol That was an easy pick. If he picks Brock off there I believe the Lions probably win the game but then again I bet the refs wouldn’t have picked up that penalty flag so they probably would have called defensive pass interference.Detroit helped the 49ers out a lot in that 3rd quarter.
A 2nd grader knows that the reason is the Cowboys are soft and that starts at the top. Love Jerry, but he coddles the players too much. Both the Cowboys and 49ers were playing at home. Both teams were down by multiple scores.
