Why have so many soured on Miles?

Williams has made him expendable he's no where close to the WR he was a few years ago, he drops passes, he's always injured and he accounts for a sizable chunk of our cap.

Brainless?

"lol" means i'm laughing at what you're saying because i think its silly.

"brainless" would be saying that Miles is lazy and isn't trying to come back and isn't working hard to rehab and is content to stay hurt, etc, etc.. based on absolutely nothing.

All evidence to the contrary. You keep pulling for the $9 million guy who doesn't play.

We're done here.

Most competitors would be frustrated they cannot get on the field. There does not seem to be that from Austin. Nor does the organization appear concerned. They just throw up their hands and curse his hamstrings.

The "its all good" attitude from jerry and jason has riddled this team with mediocrity

in hindsight cowboy fans will look at the careers of romo, ware, and witten and ask those of us who saw them, why the team never went anywhere

of course the answer will be, we just never had enough CBs to 'defend the pass' because trench play and the running game have 'no correlation with winning'

I cant wait to see him on the field this year showing his explosive abilities again.

He can't due it from the tub.

Hope he comes back healthy after these games off -- I agree that a healthy Austin is still the #2 WR on the team.

Miles is physical specimen. I think that is the problem. He is weight room rat that is obvious by his physique. Those of you familiar with working out know that muscle groups have to be worked in a complimentary fashion. When you work your biceps you also have to work your triceps, when you work your quads you work the gluts and calves. I think Miles works the muscles that get you on the cover of "Mens Health" and works the other muscles not as much. I also believe that Woicik and his staff needs to be replaced. They should be telling Miles and others how to balance their muscles so that, in Miles' case that his quads are really strong but the muscles on the back of his legs are not worked "equally" so that they can handle the torque his quads create. But what do I know I am a cowboys and STL Cardinals fan.

It's simple, your job is to play football. If you don't PLAY football (i.e. appear in games and make plays) you are a waste of time and money. End of story.

I like Austin, I really do. I was looking forward to him being a 100% this year. But, I think there is enough evidence now to conclude that is hamstring problems are chronic and will plague him for the rest of his career.

We always sour on players who receive massive contracts but don't live up ... MB3, Austin, et al.

Same story.

I feel like many people actually dont like Miles Austin at all. I know his pay is way more than someone with production should be pulling in. The hamstrings have been a thorn in the side on the team for a long time. These are serious issues, I agree. However, I dont see where these many posts about Beasley getting his reps are coming from. Williams is a nice story but he clearly doesnt have the hands as Austin.
He isnt far removed from thousand yard seasons. If you noticed him in the Giants game he looked as explosive as I remember him ever being. The guy has never caused any off the field problems and has carried out his duties in a very professional manner. If you take a look at Cowboys all time stats you might be shocked at what hes meant to the Cowboys. I cant wait to see him on the field this year showing his explosive abilities again.

"Soured?" Many soured on Miles Austin years ago and the last year it reached the lowest part of the valley. Most here (I'm guessing) have moved on from Miles and don't really give a rat's rear end about him anymore. Not caring about a player is even worse than souring on a player.

Why have so many moved on from Miles? Injuries, play of rookie WR Williams and Beasely, tired of seeing Miles drop a ball or run a wrong route or not hustle back to the huddle with time running out, etc.

Maybe it was Kim Kardashian who ruined him?:) Did Miles' career drop after he started to date her? jk

Do you have any evidence of this? Each individual's anatomy is different.I could tell you Dez is a gym rat based off of all of his twitter pictures, but then I again, I know absolutely nothing about his/or Miles' training regimen.

Just because a guy looks ripped doesn't mean he only trains the aesthetically pleasing part. But if you have details, please share.

Injuries and the emergiance of T-Will and The Bease.

Austin has worn out is welcome because of his unreliability. It's not fair these injuries to him but it is well time to move on and give the young fellers some playing time.

Oh, I didn't know Austin was still on the team. Been a long time since I saw him and I thought he might have started a research company on hamstrings.

It's obvious why everyone has soured on Austin he has hamstring issues every year that cause him to miss games and Terrence Williams has been so impressive taking over for him that he's overtaken Austin's #2 spot in my opinion. Williams is second on the team in receiving yards and leads the team with a 17.1 average. He just set a Cowboys rookie record last week with a TD catch in 4 consecutive games. Austin has only produced 15 catches this season for 125 yards and one TD.

Once his hammy starts acting up he's not effective. In the last 3 games he started he only produced 5 catches for 53 yards. With the Cowboys on pace for another 8-8 season most fans are ready to move on from Austin especially now that the team has a legitimate replacement in Williams who fans are excited about.

On the contrary.. as i've already said, there is NO evidence that Miles isn't busting his hump everyday to try to rehab his injuries and get back on the field for us.

So yes, unless you have some actual evidence.. we are done here it seems.

He's always hurt, and we are paying him lots of money with little to no return.
