Why is Dez never in motion?

its a message board/forum for people to express their POV.

What do you expect?

People to agree with everyuthing we do?

That'd show nothing short of personal stupidity given that we are 135-135 over the last goodness knows how many years.

Yeah, we'd be WAY better than .500 over that span if the coaches listened to the fans more!

Yes, it's a message board and you're obviously allowed to express your point of view. Do I have that same right? Or is it reserved only for people you agree with?

It's not just motion. It's not doing anything with him to create mismatches. The d finds him and doubles him and our coaching staff seems to be fine with that. Look at Calvin vs us. He was lined up everywhere. Johnson last night was lined up in different places. It's the playbook. It sucks.

Don't have to listen to the fans. Listen to ray Lewis in 08 when he said we run a very simple offense. List to sd DL when they said the same thing before the game this year. It's really no secret.nthats why I'm a amazed that we have had 5 different d coord but yet the same oc and same playbook. At some point they can't use the d as a scapegoat

Again I think it is by scheme and the reason why it appears the WRs are not getting open quickly is because of design and how Romo goes through his progressions. It's not a smooth transition at all which causes the the routes to appear that they are long developing or the WR isn't open. JMO something for the guys with the all 22 film could maybe look at it and chart this.

I agree 100% about the scheme issues. A good offensive system/scheme is suppose to make the receivers look good. Just watch the packers offense. The packers offensive system made matt flynn millions! It's fluid and everything seems to be in rhythm. Not chaotic like ours.

Coaches can't move Dez around because he hasn't fully learned the offense, or that's at least what I think. It's no secret that Dez has struggled learning the offense previously, but yet we have people blaming our coaches for this. If you're going to blame anyone, then blame our "passionate" WR for not fully understanding the play book in his 4th year.

Trust me, if people here understand that you can move players around to create better match ups, then our coaches sure as heck know this as well.

People calling him dumb yet, they send none of their receivers in motion. Think about that for a second

EXACTLY...I dont buy Dez is too dumb to go in motion...this isnt rocket surgery. I dont understand why Dez or Garrett have NEVER been asked this...

Why is he always stationary lining up wide? Shouldn't we moving him around more? Get him in motion so he gets running start and CB cannot jam him.

Is Dez having hard time going in motion or know what to do if he is motioned?

Why ask why!

I ask myself the same question I mean why not motion him too get a mismatch or just get him on a full sprint and make it a little harder for whatever defender is on him

I've seen our guys move around in motion, albeit not much but it still occurs. What I don't see is moving Dez around to different positions. It's a possibility that it's our coaches, but the most logical explanation is that Dez Isn't capable of moving around (at least for now).

Someone really ought to get a link to this thread into the hands of our offensive coaches. It's very likely it just never ocurred to them to put Dez into this motion-state you all seem to be talking about.

It really amazes me when I read posts from people who sound like they think they'd do a better job designing our offense or calling plays.

Apply for the job, finagle an interview with Jerry and Stephen, and BLOW THEM AWAY on the whiteboard!

That easy...

Even a caveman can do it.

They all carry i-Pads now, don't they?

No excuses now- I'm sending plays I made up when I was 9 with my buds from the sandlot.

Super-Ultra triple flea-flickers.

And most especially- yelling "Do-over!" when the play messes up.

That's some Secret Sauce right there.

I think they read this forum. A couple of weeks ago Garrett mentioned that they need to find ways to get Dez in motion and free him up. It turned out to be lip service since they have only done it a handful of times since then.

They do put Dez in motion occasionally, but like everything else in this offense, they don't stick with it.

It amazes me that Garrett got this job, I'd like to see him apply for another HCing Job in the NFL... I don't think he even gets another shot at OC to be honest to you.. I would love to pick the brains of DC's in the NFL on what they think of JG..
