Why Is Everybody So On Edge?

I agree on most of things you said above, but typically people who just post negative stuff, posts anti Jones, anti <name a coach>, anti <name a player>, anti refs etc. It's the ones who only show up to post only anti Dak posts are the ones that I have doubts about.

There is no way of separately identifying those with anti-Prescott self-motivations from an agitator. No one goes through background checks whenever they join the site, lol. Slotting individuals into correct categories is extremely limiting due to anonymity. Allow me to introduce three scenarios:

Scenario #1 involves someone who has followed the Cowboys for years. They pinned the team's divisional round loss to San Francisco solely onto Prescott. They have never joined an internet fansite but make the decision to do so and discover CowboysZone. They join and subsequently create five consecutive threads and/or posts stating Prescott only throws interceptions and that the team cannot ultimately win with him at quarterback.

Scenario #2 entails someone who hate despised Dallas for years. They were delighted in Dallas losing to the 49ers and desire to twist that hot knife of defeat in Cowboys fans' guts. They determine the best way of needling more than one Cowboys fan at a time is by joining CowboysZone. Upon joining, their first ten posts and/or threads center solely upon Prescott's interceptions during the entire season.

Here's my first question:

Can an observer establish who has a grudge against Prescott from the one who resents the franchise as a whole?

Scenario #3 has both individuals posting one or two additional neutral or positive comments about some aspect of the team following their initial comments. They create them in quick succession before immediately returning to anti-Prescott commentary.

Here's another question:

Should either individual be labeled as "only posting anti-Prescott" stuff if they occasionally (make it rarely) give props outside of the quarterback?

If somebody does not agree with you, it doesnt mean they stupid, they are not a "real fan", they need to go root for another team, they are a hater, they have a miserable life, ect. Everybody here is a Cowboy's fan and wants to win a SB, we just all have different opinions on how best to accomplish that goal and yes, that can sometimes be different from your opinion or how you would do things.

Can we at least have some civil discourse and debate without the personal attacks and insults? Maybe I just need to take a break from this site for a while until things settle down, I am sure somebody will respond, "yeah, get out of here you fake fan", LOL.

A lot of Eagles trolls. A lot of trolls who sole purpose is to rile up Cowboy fans. A lot of guys who hate their real lives and use this site as a outlet to behave a way they never would in person.

Hard to understand why having 100% agreement on a topic is the only acceptable avenue for anyone on a “fan forum”. Too many fans go straight to attack mode instead of “Here‘s where I disagree”.

IMO, a lot of it has to do with a select group of agitators in this forum. This vocal minority seem to, right on cue, gaslight at every chance available.

A Good portion of them are balding which is depressing after years of having a beautiful head full of hair.

Most do not care for this time of the year when it is colder and it causes the old arthritis to make the joints hurt.

I have a proprietary feeling about this site, just as I did the old DC.com, and being a moderator has nothing to do with it. I'll be damned if I am going to let anyone rain on my parade because this place is important to me. The members are important to me. And I depend on you to fight the good fight because this is a great place to gather.

Do not let the few ruin it for the many. There are too many quality members here to just give them any power.

And as usual, I should post my disclaimer about feeding the animals. Those that come here for reaction and to disrupt are the animals, don't feed them and they'll go away. They thrive on the attention, that is their food. Starve them out.

I think a lot of posters are just very frustrated that this team can't have any post season success, meanwhile our division Rival is in the Super Bowl.
I guess a lot of fans on here are just venting, because they feel powerless to bring about any changes in the way this team is run.
But, we should be civil towards one another:

It's not just here, it's everywhere. We need to good war to take everyone's attention off the little things they find annoying.
