So who is our lead blocker? Linehan is a big FB guy. Completely opposite from the Eagles who love to run out of the gun and don't use FBs.The FB we got from Oakland.
They only have 6th rd. pick invested in him.
Peanuts
and no way he is as good as this guy running the ball.
Bell Cow - ZekeHow many RB do you think we will carry. And WR. I figure 6 WR. And we will be carrying a FB also.
Jackson was released to make room for McFadden. As far as I know he’s out of football. He was picked up by Cleveland in 2016 but had an undisclosed injury.

he was waived for Dmac with the hopes of being signed to practice squad. But after multiple teams put in a claim, Cleveland was awarded. He was then waived injured.
Browns used the #1 waiver priortity on him. Giants tried to use their #3 waiver on him as well.
He was a late 7th rounder for a reason. These are the type of picks that get traded for practice squad prospects and washed up JAGs. Maybe he's another Alfred Morris, but he's not going to get the opportunity Morris had because the Commanders had a hole at RB that year after drafting both RG3 and Cousins.
He's not particularly fast or great at anything, just a decent body to have on the team. Let's not forget we still have some guys who can, you know, run the ball, with NFL experience behind them.
RB1 - Zeke
RB2 (Alf role) - R. Smith
3DRB (Dunbar role) - Tavon Austin
RB4 - Scarborough
Anyone who thinks Scarborough is going to get 250+ yards in the regular season or anything crazy like that is fooling themselves big time.
Jackson was a change of pace back, but not really a scatback, lead back, powerback, or fullback.he was waived for Dmac with the hopes of being signed to practice squad. But after multiple teams put in a claim, Cleveland was awarded. He was then waived injured, he was definitely liked here.

These "tweener" backs tend to have the worst careers out of all the types of backs. There are a few exceptions but... exhibit A... Ameer Abdullah. The Lions tried to make him their bell cow but he is a tweener back. Exhibit B... Thomas Rawls. Had a few good games early but teams caught up with him pretty quickly. Not strong or tough enough to run inside very well from pro formations, not fast enough to do a lot of damage in outside zone or in the passing game, not a particularly great blitz blocker... just a tweener back. As for the Cowboys, exhibit C... Joseph Randle. Tweener back all the way. We all know about him.
And Justin Beriault could have been the next Darren Woodson.Jackson was 6ft 220 pounds, definitely could’ve been a lead back.
His worst carries in the 2016 preseason were when asked to run inside. He was at his best running outside zone and making catches for RAC yards in the screen game. But he was definitely not a burner who could run any route and score any way, i.e. Kamara.Jackson was 6ft 220 pounds, definitely could’ve been a lead back.

Weight is only half the battle, the other half is where is the weight/muscle located.
Xavier Woods can. D-Woody wasn't exactly a hell of a speed burner, either. But he was smart, geometrically savvy, hit hard and covered well. And Justin Beriault could have been the next Darren Woodson.
I'm just saying, based on his preseason 2016 sample in which a lot of people on DCF and CZ anointed him.Ok and your point? He had minimum carries as a rookie, there’s no way you make a determination on such a small sample size.
Whoa.
We are back to the Darius Jackson choo choo train to the Super Bowl again?
