Dak gets the blame with no run game or run defense. Troy is considered a God with the all time NFL leading rusher and arguably the best team money could buy and was ever assembled.

But when he plays bad and gets us knocked out of the playoffs, twice for throwing 3 picks, it does not count. It was his fault we did not win 5 in a row.

The 92 team was probably the best team ever assembled. The team got progressive worse both in talent and coaching each year that went by. The only reason they won in 95 was because of Deion.

See here is the problem for the Cowboys.

It is very possible that Lance is better than Dak and would win more game, maybe even playoff games.

However..........

There is a chance that Lance is worse than Dak, like really worse. There might be a reason Shanny decided to throw 3 first round picks in the crapper and trade Lance for a bag of Doritos.

Lets say its 50/50..........Lance is better than Dak/Lance is worse than Dak..............do you think Jerry is willing to take that risk?

Trey Lance will be given an opportunity to display whatever he has to display in TC. He'll be given an opportunity to beat out Rush and that might be all one could ask for a QB with little to no experience at this juncture. I'm sure everyone who's a member of this Cowboys website will be hoping for a surprisingly great showing for Lance in TC but that's something that remains to be seen and proven. It'll be very interesting, for sure.

Is Tray Lance physically able to absorb the punishment that will test him in training camp? That's merely one of the hurdles that Lance might have to overcome if he wants to advance to playing with the big boys. Like most of us, I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise to arrive with his play. Let's just stay tuned for now. Anything can happen, whether it's all for the best or not.

Dak is gone, the writing is on the wall and before you say he gives us the best chance to win this year, I agree, he is going to win more meaningless regular season games and if this team is fortunate to make the playoffs he isn't going to take us to a superbowl, that's not going to happen with this current team regardless and I think most everyone agrees with that take.

So starting Dak net's you nothing and actually hurts the 25 draft stock. Give Lance a true year of evaluation, the worst that can happen is the team goes 0-17 has the top pick or top five pick and free of Dak's cap hit. Or start Dak, win a few games, know nothing about Lance's ability and end up with a middle to late round first.

Jerry is not going to pay Dak $50 million to sit on the bench. He could trade Cee Dee for a 1st round though before paying him $30 mill a season.

A few weeks ago I would have wholeheartedly disagreed with that thought, but at this point I'm not sure how they don't go this route? The Cowboys approach of asking Dak to win with less is not good for either party. If he's not coming back in 2025 it really is best to cut ties now, see what if anything you have in Lance now, and go from there. If they are not actively trying to improve the roster there is no sense in giving Dak a talent starved offense to win 8 games instead of 6 with.

Mahomes just wont a SB with a rookie as his biggest weapon. Dak needs 6 all pros to even have a glimmer of hope. How over Dak I am is crazy. Dude is so average it's scary.
