Why not Romo? Why not now?

Yeah, we need a QB like Ben Roethlisberger to win the Super Bowl. Ben Roethlisberger is FAR superior. How's he doing this year, by the way?

Why do the die hard Bledsoe lovers bring up BR in comparison to their idol? Do you not see how rediculous it is to compare a 23 year old QB coming off of a fairly major surgery and a life threatening accident in the offseason and a 34 year old that has the book written on how to beat him in three easy steps?

The fact that Parcells is sticking with Bledsoe should tell you something about your backwards logic regarding tossing the season for Tony Romo. He knows far more than you or I do about his team and about football in general.

He stuck with the vinterception too, whats your point?

This said enough for me right here to end this conversation.

Bledsoe is making game altering negative decisions which are long term problems; hanging on to the ball too long, forcing the ball into coverage, and throwing the ball to no one in particular on the other team.

Yes, I've been a Bledsoe apologist for sometime and I've not given up on him. However he is driving me crazy with some very fundamental mistakes and sloppy play.

No way he throws that game ending INT Sunday. He still has two downs left to generate a TD.

However, those who think Romo will be the Golden Child need to rethink it over. He will make plays Bledsoe can't but will in general make more or possibly slightly less than Bledsoe and that is being extremely optimistic and generous.

I don't have the answer but I know some of the problems. And it all ain't Bledsoe.

romo sux as a starter

perfect as a backup, due to teams not preparing for the scrambeling. Give a team one week to prepare for him, and he is toast. burnt toast

Yes, one week of game tape and teams will be able to shut him down. They'll have every bit of information necessary.

And Bledsoe does so much better when teams scheme against him.

1. Blitz
2. Rattle
3. Repeat

Game over for the Dallas Cowboys.

Hahahaha... "proven loser".

There were threads on this board and at The Ranch before the season started speculating that he could be a Hall Of Fame inductee if he were to win the Super Bowl with the 'Boys.

But after a 2-2 start in which he's had a few bad road games against quality defensive teams... he's a "proven loser." Hilarious.
Didn't Peter King pick us to win the Super Bowl? Didn't many other publications pick us to go deep into the playoffs?
How? Here's how...

Be honest. Before the Eagles game, what was your take on the Cowboys Super Bowl chances THIS year? Were they nonexistent? BE HONEST.

Because if the answer is "no", then it WAS this game that is making you face-plant off the cliff.BAHAHAHA! So now Bledsoe has a track record of being a "choker"? I guess you missed the Chargers, 49ers, Panthers, Eagles, and Chiefs games last year.Didn't we finish 9-7 last year and barely miss the playoffs? And isn't our team much stronger on paper this year than it was last year?Chances are he won't be the next Tom Brady. That's pure logic. He might be, but he LIKELY won't be.

The point is, it would be idiotic to gamble the season on a kid who's never thrown an NFL pass when we STILL HAVE THE SAME SUPER BOWL HOPES WE HAD DURING THE PRESEASON.

I'm still just absolutely astonished that a bad game in EARLY OCTOBER is enough for you clowns to jump off the deep end and give up on the season, when we're still 2-2 and right in the mix.

Good thing Parcells (ya know, that guy who knows INFINITELY more about football and his team than any of us) sees things my way and not yours.

You obviously lack long term vision and your knowledge of history is shallow.
If you were a Bears fan you would be clamoring for them to start Griese over Grossman, because according to your logic,Montana would still be hurling passes for the Niners.Or Marino for the Dolphins.
Check this one out.
Kurt Warner had NEVER thrown an NFL pass before becoming the MVP,remember him?He won a Super Bowl with the Rams.
He may not be much today, but he got a chance to play and today he walks around with a Super Bowl ring he earned while STARTING,not sitting.
As for Parcells seeing things YOUR way, don't you think it may be the other way around?

Sheep.

Well said

these Romo fanatics, just crack me up.

Arizona has the next big name in QB.

Cowboys fans, look for your next QB to lead you to greatness again, to come from the College ranks

We have seen the best and worst on Bledsoe during his stay in Dallas. Anyone who thinks he can win two or three playoff games in a row and then the super bowl are only kidding themselves.

Yawn...

Wake me up when our season is over and we have Matt Leinart waiting to begin his career.

Why isn't Romo the next big name? I suspect it's because he doesn't have a pedigree.

I might tend to agree with that....BUT....the point here is Romo vs Bledsoe....and I would rather take my chances with Tony...Drew has cost us too much, and for me, in my own opinion, I just don't trust him, or that he can lead us there.

Before this seasn....
.....Except for being a high draft pick what did Philip Rivers do in a regular season game more than Romo has?
Not much if any.
And if you think you can use the argument that Romo may not be the future at qb then why did we sign him to a long term deal?
Everybody seems to think that if Romo comes into the season that we are giving up any real chance at the playoffs.
Like Romo is just as green as Young,Leinart and Cutler.
I don't buy it.
I think Romo is ready and Bledsoe's road games will cause us to find out sooner than later.

I like Romo with these proven guys around him more than I like Bledsoe. He knows the system, he can do it.

You can't be a good quarterback in this league unless you came from a D1 school and were drafted in the first round. It's simply not possible.
