Romo has shown incredible escapeability. With our line play being suspect to blitz packages, our QB has to be able to move around in the pocket. Bledsoe simply is unable to do that.

This would be a perfect week for Romo to start against a week Texans team. Romo would not be asked to win the game for us. Parcells could be very conservative a we probably still win this game handily.

Against who, the preseason come on. While I think he has tools at 2-2 and it is idiotic to turn the reins over to him and guarantee yourself a loosing season. This team isn't game planned for him and I am willing to bet many of the veterans will give up on the season and therefore guarantee a losing season. While I agree we need to see this guy in a game unless in 4 weeks we are .500 or close to it I don't see it happening.

It amazes me that some people still hang on to Bledsoe. I really don't see how getting rid of the biggest liability on this team is flushing the season.

What has Bledsoe ever won?
He has a ring courtesy of a sixth rounder won won 2 more after Bledsoe left the Pats.
Had Brady thrown an NFL pass of any consequence before that?
No.
He got a chance to play and we saw the results.
Is Romo equal to Brady?
We don't know, probably not,but how can we find out?
The same way the Saints found out Jake Delhomme could play?
The same way the Bears and Chargers put their young QBs out there and let them play?
Grossman and Rivers are playing right?
What really irks me about this team, and i love this team,is that there is not a long term plan for QB.
Two years ago we were subjected to Vinny INTestaverde.
Never won jack in this league.
Now we are in year #2 of the infamous Bledsoe cycle.
Is Glenn Foley next?
Lets get Romo a chance.I can live with a young QB making mistakes and learning, not with an aging vet making horrible decisions and a bull headed coach who makes no adjustments, and thinks that what worked in 1986 will work today.

Just my 2 cents.

Because you have to look at the big picture, putting in a "rookie" basicly will not do anything then stunt the growth and dmage the confidence of our younger offensive players. The team will see more 8 man fronts, 8 man blitzes, the defense will get torched because they will spend 70% of the time on the field. While all this is happening the confidence levels of Witten, Jones, and Barber are falling, the defense gets battered but who cares we have a "better" QB back there.

Our Super Bowl chances this year... better with Bledsoe or with Romo? If you say "Romo" you're lying to yourself or seriously delusional.

And in case nobody's noticed... we still don't have a FS.

When has the cowboys ever been good at grooming a QB, especially when we change OC every year. I credit Brady's ascencion more to Belichek and his staff.

Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he can't, genius. And hasn't he already taken a team to the Super Bowl? Didn't he win at Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game in '01? We have a great supporting cast here and if the OL gels, we can be extremely dangerous.

And guess what? If Pat Watkins and Roy didn't collaborate to give up 3 HUGE plays on D, and if McBriar doesn't drop that punt... we're 3-1 right now and NOBODY IS COMPLAINING ABOUT BLEDSOE, AND NOBODY IS GIVING UP OUR SUPER BOWL HOPES.

Sadly this is what Cowboy nation has become. Okay w/mediocre. It's what seperates most on this board. You can be in love w/mediocre to poor QB play all you want, but I expect more. And if the starter can't do more he rides the pine. I still can't believe that no one sees that Bledsoe makes ROOKIE mistakes that a guy that has been in the league 14 YEARS has to quit making. We just except this because we hope he might do better. That is a joke and this orginazation and even it's fans need get some pride and quit settling. you say he gives us the best chance to win. I say he hasn't proven that. Sure he'll beat the Texans, Cardinals, and Titans of the league and make it look easy, but when he faces a real defense that rattles that cage it's sack, int, worm burner football time. We'll check back on his progress at the end of the season, not by game 7, to see who hit this one on the head.

Oh so a "rookie" FS makes rookie mistakes and we no longer have a FS man you guys sound like the Redstink fans on the radio up here in DC.

True.
My point was about putting in young QBs and letting them play.
If Romo had nothing, then why is Bill keeping him around?

LOL....I listen to 980 at lunch just for the entertainment.

I like ribbing on Watkins, but it has much more to do with the coaching staff and Gm than Watkins. He's a rookie. Hello! They make mistakes - alot of them. If anyone was expecting superman right away, that's foolish. Hopefully Coleman (great backup plan ) will solidfy the position and help Watkins along.

If Romo isn't ready to be better than what we are seeing from Bledsoe, how on earth can anyone have any hope for him for next season?

So they can send him to NFLEL and "Henson" him.

Wait...are you describing the Philly game or what would happen if we got rid of Bledsoe?

I'm noticing this and it saddens me. I'll never be happy with 8-8 or 9-7.

Get real, Ttown Cowboy. 90% of this board agreed that we had a shot at the Super Bowl THIS year before the season started. Now everybody's been flying off the handle since late Sunday afternoon because we lost to Philly and Bledsoe played poorly.

I can't wait to see the mood of this board after week 7.

Alot of this board STILL thinks we have a shot at the Bowl. I just like our chances better knowing which of our QB's is better. TTown is right, as far as Drew never getting there and leading a team all the way. And like Parcells, all he has shown us is he is nothing more than a Toby Keith song---"I ain't as good as I once was."

Romo showed us alot of things in the preseason....yes, the preseason, I know, but these are all NFL players. He has the throws, the mobility, he knows the offense. If he is still here, that tells me Parcells definitely thinks he has the ability to do it, or he'd be with Henson on someone else's squad.

Do you honestly not see that Romo has alot more upside than Bledsoe? Seriously, cmon now.

That's it...no jumping on and off bandwagons.
