Why nothing is on Dak and the offense

Regarding Dak’s contract, QB salaries have grown to the point that there is a real tension between maximizing your financial potential versus maximizing your on-the-field success potential in the sense that maximizing your financial potential comes at the cost of kneecapping, plausibly, your on-the-field success potential.

This further highlights that maximizing your financial potential might mean making 30-40 million less over a career that still nets you 200-250 million dollars. At some point, the desire for maximizing a shot at a championship has to become more alluring than making that extra 30-40 million, when you’ll already be generationally wealthy from what you will pocket, IF you are serious about winning titles.

Dak chose finances over the team.

That doesn't matter. Your comprehension skills are ridiculous the the way you can try to say that the 16 points wasn't enough to win games. Did you watch the game last night? Both teams only have 14 points each in regulations, and the mighty, mighty super champions of the NFL only had three points for 3/4, and it took Denver five quarters to score 17 points. You know what that tells me? No matter how bad a game they had, 16 points is enough to win a lot of games in the NFL. And yes, they shot themselves in the foot with mistakes, but they're allowed to have a game like this. Where's the help from the special teams in the defense? That's what you're missing here. But that's why, saying it best, we should be. Three and two. Not asking for much, but I think this team would be undefeated if it had a defense anywhere close to the two we saw last night.

No one's denying that the Tampa Bay game was a bad game for the offense. The first one. This year that they didn't play well but still scored 16 points. And at one point had it not been for the mistakes mentioned in this article, we saw it. They might have scored 24 points and still lost. That's why I'm saying go ahead, take the turnovers away, add 10 points to the score and I say we still lose because that's how bad the defense and the special teams are. They just are horrible...
Instead of being rude and inconsiderate on your replies to others (you won't answer me, but others will see this), you seem to have a very difficult time keeping your replies based upon the topic of almost every thread in here. If you open your eyes and read the titel, it suggests that Dak and the offense have NOTHING to do with where things are at. You even suggested that it hasn't been perfect, and the reality of things is that both sides of the ball have something to do with things...as does ownership/and especially coaching. Hook, line, and sinker for you to chime in with a nothing burger

For the sake of others in here, we all know that for this team to win, we need to score at least 30 points per game. Yolo was on pace to start a thread being very objective, but the choice of words of NOTHING......that is just not true, and there is no argument otherwise. At lteast she even stated that, but the title isn't quite accurate, and you owe an apology for your insult

Dak has had one -maybe two bad games. I seen all the top quarterbacks suck it up this season. I think some in here think Dak is Jesus Christ. Perfect  Some Dallas fans are just crazy.IMO. Same when we had Romo. Romo or bust.Maybe if your boot leg owner/GM hire better coaches both quarterbacks would of been better. I know the team would of been. Watch Milton win a SB before the Cowboys. I get pissed off at Dak to sometimes. But I know without Dak. This team would be darn near win less the last 10 years. So basically a 10 to 12 win team every year-no playoffs. Or a bottom of the scrape team like the Browns. Your choice.
Not really about good or bad games.

Sometimes its about a moment...or two...when it really matters and barely shows in stats.

Extremely emotional and overly protective of his agenda. Add in lazy undisciplined speech to text and we have a bad combination.

Dak bad was on the field vs Schottie standing on the sidelines with no defensive player trying to take his head off. Just standing there clueless that cost us 2 games...But good point. Schotty coached better we win those bad defensive and bad Dak moment games.

Basically this defense is so bad the offense needs to be perfect for the Cowboys to even have a chance to win.

When they are not perfect, well, you get last Thursday night as your result.
What makes you think they have to be perfect?

Asking them to score more that 7 points in the first half?

The defense actually able to get stops and they cheese out for 3?

This whole "they need to be totally perfect" schtuff is nonsense.

Just be better earlier and take advantage of certain opportunities.

Thats not perfect just good.

Every player in the NFL tries to get as much as they possibly can so they ALL choose finances over the team according to your reasoning.

The point is they almost have to be perfect. Against the Texans they scored 34 points, including the game winner with 43 seconds left, and this defense STILL made the end of the game a nail biter.

Scoring on every drive, not settling for field goals, etc. is not a sustainable way to win football games. Offense only scores 7 in the first half? Okay, where does the defense come up with a stop? Maybe force a turnover to give the struggling offense a bonus possession or two? Why does this offense need to put up 34, 38, 42 points every single week just to MAYBE win?

Football is a complementary game and the Cowboys do not play it. This defense is epic horrendous. Putrid. So when the Cowboys' offense is anything less than perfect, we get threads like this. Kind of ridiculous.

We've seen this offense have excellent performances the past two seasons. For example, this year in three out of five games. When was the last excellent defensive performance the past two years?

"I want $60 million dollars per year. I will only beat one above .500 team in 12 months. And nothing is my fault. Now put that in writing."
"I want to be paid higher than anyone else who's ever played this game."

"Okay, what championships have you won that I should pay you that kind of money?"

"I don't need championships to get paid, I deserve it. Besides, I'm not doing this for me. I'm doing this for the brotherhood of QBs out there. If I get paid, they get paid!"

The defense stopped henry and gave the offense a chance ( not the first time in that game!)to win or make it very difficult to lose.

Our offense cheesed out and threw the ball into the stands in 2 seconds.

I dont expect perfection....but i dont expect them to be cowards either.

I agree completely with all of your points except for the last sentence. Why would anyone leave 40 million on the table for the worst GM in the N.F.L. to squander? No mere mortal is getting a SB in Dallas while GM Jerry draws breath. "Take the money kid."

Agreed. I never saw a coach/staff/QB/whoever it was quit on 3rd and goal before. That game will stick in my mind for all the wrong reasons forever.
