It's the race to whom can make the "funniest" meme all over social media and the internet in general. Trashing him and the Cowboys in the process. And their fans.

But the second someone like Teddy B or another gets a serious injury, the tone is totally different. If you dare poke fun at his injury or talk down on him, you are a despicable person. Do it with Romo, you are a comedian in the long line to make fun of him.

I'm all for moving on from him as many others are but I just don't get the double standard in these instances.

Because Romo plays for America's Team. Had he been the qb for the Packers or Steelers, he'd be America's sweetheart (dating Celeb's and what not). Anyone who doesn't love the team, generally hates them.

Same would go for teams like NY Yankees, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Toronto Maple Leafs, etc

Last time was a little different. We had no plan in place and had very little talent. We have about as solid of an offense as you can have for a young QB to work with. I don't forsee three straight 5-11 seasons with Dak. Or trying to throw any QB we can think of and see what sticks kind of approach. The list of junk we started at one point in between Aikman and Romo was comical.

That is true...and I am as big of a fan of Dak as anyone but we have to see it first. Also, few who have ever played the game played it better than Romo...highly unlikely we find one better this quickly.

It's been that way since the late 60's. Why are the Cowboys the biggest draw in the league? We haven't been relevant in 20 seasons except 07 and 14. The Browns suck but no one hates them.

When we were really bad in the 80's the Cowboys jokes were as plentiful as lawyer jokes.

Romo is the most polarizing player in all sports and plays on the most polarized team in history. Why wouldn't they take shots?

I am a long time fan and I don't feel trashed. I don't see the Cowboys as trashed, any more than usual, and if the memes are funny I will laugh at them.

How is Tony Romo like naked kids on the playground? They get stuck on the slide too.

I dispise them being a Vancouver Canucks fan haha. They get consistent top tv time despite, like you said, not winning anything in years. But they get the ratings so it continues

It's corny to me anytime someone finds joy or humor in the injury of any athlete. Be it Romo, or Victor Cruz or Junior Gallette or any Eagles player. Doesn't matter the athlete or sport it is always unfortunate to see any of them get injured.
