Why When Romo Gets Injured It's the race to whom can make the "funniest" meme?

It's the race to whom can make the "funniest" meme all over social media and the internet in general. Trashing him and the Cowboys in the process. And their fans.

But the second someone like Teddy B or another gets a serious injury, the tone is totally different. If you dare poke fun at his injury or talk down on him, you are a despicable person. Do it with Romo, you are a comedian in the long line to make fun of him.

I'm all for moving on from him as many others are but I just don't get the double standard in these instances.

Oh, no, don't even try that. First, this is an absolutely passive aggressive thread so you can rip on Romo. Nice try.

You are for moving on from Tony unconditionally.

Most
are for moving on only if Dak can win. Most don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater like you do. If Dak is 6-1 and tearing it up fine. It's about the Cowboys, not Tony Romo. But if he's struggling and it's obvious we need Tony back then who isn't going to want to do that?

Oh...you.

Try not to speak for "many others." You won't have a lot of company if we're losing.

Thanks.

So if we are struggling, a guy who can't take a hit at all is going to come save our season? Hahaha. Thanks for the laugh tonight.

And if you don't think many are not ready to move on from Romo right now without looking back no matter what Dak is doing, then you are oblivious to the many polls and opinions all over social media and sports talk radio. Many are telling him to retire right now. It's not worth it anymore for either him or the team.

The Romo era is over as we know it. If you can't take a simple hit he took, then you are not long for this league. It's time to end that era.

Most people are complete wastes of oxygen and resources. That's why.

We live in a country lacking in integrity and basic decency. The collapse of the American family is the cause.

Add in the anonymity of the internet.

I remember seeing alot of "RG knee" memes

Yup. There's a ******** of RG3 memes of him injured on the field.

Comes with the popularity of the team/player.

Nothing new, some are funny and some are classless.

We are one of only 3 teams to not make a championship game in something like the last 15 years. Why would ANY other fans be envious of us?
Good question. They are, though. Maybe it's the great ratings, great stadium, great practice facility/headquarters, highest value, etc.

What makes you think they are?
I gave several possible reasons, ratings being the main one. They have to watch our Cowboys in prime time (or not get to watch their own team) because the sponsors know that the most people will watch when America's Team is on. That's why the Cowbys are called America's Team, like it or not.

I think the Cowboy are wildly popular and I think that other fans love to see us lose. But I dont think other fans envy Cowboy fans.

Why waste hatred on a non threat? I've heard so many reasons over the years why people hate the Cowboys: Landry is a stiff, Staubach is a goody two shoes, they killed Kennedy and then played a game, my Daddy hated the Cowboys, the new owner is a brown shoe at the formal, Booger fired Landry, you won too much, you had a TV show named after your city and they're all rich aholes, you won too much, you have too many bad actors, my girlfriend or wife or both thought Troy was cute and you ain't won nuthin' in forever and everybody sill watches you and you get more national games than any team.

The Cowboys fan persecution complex mystifies me. This comes with the territory when we sign on. We are fans of the most polarized and most covered team in history. Some fans extend their hatred of the team to the fans, like too many of the Eagles fans do, but that should just serve to help us dig in more. I equated it to standing by your friend. Others may not like him, may talk trash about him and may not like you for liking him but....he is your friend. Most of us stand by our friends.

I am envious of Cleveland Fans because they just won the NBA Title. I admire GS fans because of the great team they have. But why would anyone be envious of a Cowboys fan that has had so little success over the last 20 years?

There is a certain cool to not only the Cowboys but Dallas and Texas to many people. Got that fancy Big Top, great shopping and restaurants and the team has a heritage few can match.

Since being on these sites, I've asked many a young fan that's never tasted it to those fans that live in enemy territory and have never attended a Cowboys game, why? Why did they become Cowboys fans and the answers are so varied I couldn't list them here. But there is one underlying commonality to all of them, none of the reasons are rational, they're all emotional. So if other fans envy Cowboys fans, and I don't know any that do, that would be based on emotion as well.

I've had other fans "hate" on me for being a Cowboys fan but never had one envy me because I am a Cowboys fan. I've had other fans appreciate my fanhood when I lived in PA for 3 years during Buddy Ball but they did not envy me. As I don't envy other fans. I don't care if their team wins, it's unimportant. I have buds that are fans of the other East teams and if they go all the way, I am happy for them but I do not envy them.

But let me say, there was a time in my life that my ego was attached to my teams and I did not take losing well. They let me down. In reality, they did nothing but what they did, I was along for the ride and took it too seriously.

You got to be jiving. Think what you wish about Romo but he has a bad rap.

he does and he gets ripped more than others. Hell if he had fumbled the ball like Aaron Rodgers did in Arizona that playoff game, no one would have lauded him for what he did the rest of the game, it would all have been how he fumbled the game away, like the fumbled snap.
