$10 million is higher and reasonable for the way the Cowboys structure deals. It generally starts with a low salary with a prorated portion of the player's bonus. If Dallas wants to, it can take more of a hit that first year, but that hasn't been typical for the team.
They can get away with 10m cap for Cooper the 1st year but there is not a chance they get away with anything less than 20m cap hit for Dak in the 1st year of any deal he signs because with the kind of contract he is demanding it would just make the cap hit to big in future years
