Will Dalton Schultz Finally Get his Payday?

I like Schultz, a lot. But I wouldn't overpay for him. Let him walk, and get younger (and stronger, with blocking) at TE.

But he had a hecuva game. And a seriously great catch there down the field near the sideline with the defender draped all over him (he was NOT open). If he can get a bit stronger and can block some DEs or LBs more consistently, he may be worth stretching to keep him.

He will get his payday. just not from the cowboys i hope.
I’d love to keep him
But the cap is the impediment to keeping lots of guys. He will get a nice payday, I’ll be happy for him and enjoy the comp pick next year

Too me it’s not about over paying
He is gonna get more than we can pay and that’s great for him

First of all, I might be the biggest fan of our young TEs, Hendershot, Schultz, even McKeon. But if you're Dalton Schultz and you're logging nearly 100 yards and 2 TDs along with some key blocks in the playoffs after being tagged in somewhat of a prove it year, and you keep that up moving forward, you might be making a case to justify getting the payday you want.

Schultz, and the other TEs, have been Dak's so-called security blanket.

What I really like is something I heard in McCarthy's press conference after win at Bucs: that Schultz actually goes to the QB meetings.

He had a slow start this year with the injury early on, but if he closes with a bang, Schultz could be on his way to earning that payday he was wanting this offseason.

Only time will tell, but if I was Dalton Schultz, I'd continue attending those QB meetings.
if he keeps this up and they get to the SB I am sure he will get paid.

Use the money to sign Pollard. Draft another one-I like Ferguson and Hendershot

Cant pay him n pollard

Dalton had a real nice game…no doubt. I‘d rather roll with our young tight ends next year. I still think we need a better number 2 or 3 receiver to compete with Gallup…but Gallup played well Monday as well…
Gallup will not be the pre injury Gallup till next year..why people don't understand that is amazing. What he has done this year is damn good considering the injury he had,imo

Yes, he had a great game last night but the Cowboys have to have other priorities. Hopefully, Ferguson and Hendershot continue to develop.

Sure, just not here.

Ferguson can replace what he’s doing at a fraction of the cost. Dalton isn’t special.

Dalton did exactly what I expect out any player and that is when your number is called, make the play. He made the plays last night he was a major factor in the game 7 catches for 95 yards and 2 TD. As far as next year? right now not even concerned with next year. The off season will play out when the time comes but now it all about the game

I really hope he gets paid big so the Cowboys get a high compensatory pick. He came a long way from a draft prospect to a everyday contributor.

We all say that Shultz is nothing special and I’m right there too, but at the end of the day the guy catches the ball, puts up some pretty big numbers and Dak looks for him a lot. Some say that he is limited to those 5-10 yard routes, no he gets down the field quite fine. I. A believer in Hendershot and Ferguson but Shultz has given us a lot this year.

Yes....from the Bears and their 100 million in cap space.

I knew you were still around. Heres to you.

"One of the most basic factors in sports is that winning becomes a habit, and losing is the same way. When failure starts to feel normal in your life or your work or even your darkest vices, you won't have to go looking for trouble, because trouble will find you. Count on it."
