I broke it down play by play on Dez's highlight reel...when he WAS making catches...and not just this year...

He's a home run hitter. He can make plays other guys can't. But he's got very average speed...below average quickness...and he runs way-below average routes.

I think it is funny how some people can't see that even great players have bad games. They make excuses for it.

Dez has underperformed for a while. I'm not talking about statistically. His mental makeup helps take him out of games. I doubt that is going to change anytime soon.

It does no good to make a bet with someone who won't pay up. Lol

The next thing you know someone will post a highlight reel of Dez from the 2014 season, claiming he's still an elite receiver and these highlights prove it. lol

Except that isn't the argument being made, now is it?

People are saying Dez ISN'T a great player.

This offense isn't designed for every player to fill up the stat sheet

It's slow. It's balanced. And it's methodical

Some days it will be Dez. Other days it will be Williams. Today it was Witten. Other days it will be Beasley

You guys are getting worked up over the dumbest things

No way man, Elliott has to go for 100+ and Dez has to go for 150+ yards or all is not well in the Universe.

It was weak minded bull****. Even Dak had to come over and try to settle him down. I understand the frustration. That's reasonable. But you don't see Witten act like that or throw a tantrum on the sideline. Be an apologist for him if you want. I personally don't think it is Ok.

If we are going to keep Dez around we have to figure out a way to get him effectively and efficiently in the game or part with him and soon. He meltdown will start to gain momentum if we don't get him some success and soon.

So because a QB talks to a player, it's now a "meltdown" - He was frustrated.

If what Dez had was a meltdown. Kelce went full psycho today.

Again, stop with the exaggerations in the attempt to make a point. It hurts your argument more than it does justify it.

Sometimes a preppie just needs to see a Recruiter...as if both Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are albatrosses...

7-1, c'mon trolls, grow up.

You claimed I said Dak was a bust after week 1 which is complete BS. I defended his game after week one. lol I challenged you to an avatar bet to find a post where I called him a bust and you're backing down. What does that tell everyone? LOL I'll even make it a cash bet. Go find any post where I'm claiming or insinuating Dak was a bust after week one and I'll put a mule's ace as my avatar.

Maybe because the guy is one of the faces of the franchise and he hasn't been relevant in most of the last two seasons. Also, if he would step his game back up to what he's capable of, we'd be even better.

Winning doesn't excuse poor play.
We can say the same for TRomo....both have 2014 in common.....and 2015 in common.

I wouldn't say his "Elite" days are over. He still has that ability. He did lose focus early in the game by possible penalties not flagged during passes to HIM. Started arguing with the ref, etc. He got his act together & the team did the rest. He'll have more games like this as the season progresses. He'll also have games where "Elite" will once again apply to him.

Maybe it's because Dez is one of the highest paid players on the team and has done very little to contribute to our record this year.
Really?.....again I point to him having the same results and TRomo....injuries of course, but he ain't the only one wearing a ski mask on Pay Day right now.

I think there is a reasonable argument that he isn't. Maybe he is still great, but so gr he isn't appearing great. He is appearing to be a distraction. Time will tell. I hope for the Cowboys sake he comes back around to form. Last week was unimpressive to me although other reasonable people will view it differently.

Do we need Dez to do what he was doing in 2014? We seem to be doing fine with Dez doing what he is doing right now. Eventually, Dak or Romo, whoever is QBing in the playoffs, will have to take some more chances downtown. But for now, as we make our way through the season, our offense is F.I.N.E. We don't need 11 all pros on offense.

Dez dropped one ball today and had a blatant pass interference against him in the end zone. 35-10. Scoreboard.

More performances like today, it is only reasonable to have doubts. He cannot count on getting Bradley Fletcher every week.
