We won the game by 25 points. I'm happy and we're on a 7 game win streak. There's nothing to complain about with this team.

I'm going to enjoy the win.

Yes it was a fantastic win. We are having a great season. We didn't fall into a trap game and we took care of business and kicked *** in what would have mormally been a let down game.

You are incorrect about having nothing to complain about. That is why so many are complaining about it. This isn't new with Dez. I doubt that many here would complain if this was a recent phenomenon with Dez.

I am EXPECTING Dez to come out of this weak *** ******** and to get his **** together. He is paid to do that. Hopefully we can praise him for winning a big game with a great game by him soon. You don't pay great salaries for a non performer. Hopefully Dex gets back on track.

7-1

A pair of All World offensive rookies that lead the league and assure the team's future.

A defense that is beginning to come around and contribute.

A two game lead in the division halfway through the season.

Best record in their conference.

But Dez didnt tear it up today. The Cowboys are a team in turmoil.

After all this team is 2-9 whem Dez has 2 or less receptions. That's why the Cowboys lost today.....except they didnt.

Dez used to be a critical component to winning, now he is one of several cogs that keep the machine running. Sometimes they need him, sometimea they dont.

The Cowboys have so much more talent that they can take turns based on opportunity dictated by their opponent.

This was not Dez's game, it belonged to Witten and Elliot. Last week it belonged to him.

Which is probably why he was aggressively defensed. By the way, have you checked his blocking on running plays? And why was Witten so open?

Dez contributed to victory. He just didnt get the numbers that are mistakenly used to measure the totality of his importance.

Maybe next week...

Like Romo throwing the ball to Dez in triple coverage and expecting Dez to make the catch while Dak's current strength is to look elsewhere and not throw interceptions (2 so far this year)?

No. You are barking up the wrong tree with me. I'm no Dez apologist. I'm not in favor of any QB throwing to a covered up receiver. But the back shoulder throw is mastered by Romo and Dak isn't very good at it yet. But Dak is much better at protecting us from turnovers.

Dez complaining he was interfered in the endzone, we ended up scoring and he still crying on the sidelines. Yup a real team player. I am done with this guy lets trade him next year.

Lol you can't see the Forrest from the trees. Yes it was disappointing that he focused on complaining at that point and I don't like to see that from him but this ridiculous not a team player bs is beyond stupid.

Just heard a post game interview where they said "what does it say that the team can have the day they did when you don't have a Dez game?"

His response? "I mean I care, but really I don't care. We're winning. We're winning and the chemistry is crazy and that's what important."

Hmm.

Lol @ you being fine with him. Jesus I can't deal with the sheer stupidity of some of these fans.

You gotta be kidding me?

Dez's left arm disagrees.
Alright, I'll just have to respectfully disagree. Just don't complain later in the year about "too many flags" ruining the game. Again, if that's PI then to be consistent we should have a lot more PI calls every game.

You're not watching All-22. He's getting open. He was open a lot in the Giants game and the Eagles game. Dak happened to have his 2 worst games then.

EVERY QB tries to throw to the open guy. Doesn't mean that they do it every time.
YR

I broke it down play by play on Dez's highlight reel...when he WAS making catches...and not just this year...

He's a home run hitter. He can make plays other guys can't. But he's got very average speed...below average quickness...and he runs way-below average routes.

Just imagine how good this offense would be if Dez was the playmaker he used to be? We need a pass rusher and a down the field threat at WR.

Saying it wasn't the most prudent move is saying we should have used the pick on another position. That's just a nice way of saying the pick was a mistake. lol So what player at #4 would have helped the Cowboys more bidhan Zeke has this season? I'll have you doing the foxtrot in no time. lol

I just don't know what to say about Dez. Always been a big Dez fan but his constant whining is starting to get to me. It took him out of the game. Just catch the ball and stop making excuses.

What about Dez this week? Just like I told you last week he has one solid game and follows it up with a bad one. He's not that good anymore.

I just posted this in the post game thread, fits in with the topic.
I dont know about you guys but its time the Cowboys do something with Dez. Hes not winning too many battles and gets shut out of too many games. He's too good to be used as a decoy. Seems to me being a couch coach, that they should move him into the slot so a safety doesn't stay on top of him and bring in Brice in Dez place. Now the safety will have to watch two wide outs which would seem to open up Dez. I dont know but it seems logical to me they at least get him a few plays in the slot. Brice wide, Twill wide, Dez in the slot, Zeke as the back and of course Witten and then add Dak as a running QB threat, this gives us a lot more options then having one of our Receivers (Dez) being taken out of the game all game and us being short one offensive weapon the entire game. Might be thinking this all wrong but it seems logical to me.

Dez is a special flavor type WR. He's not the type that gets great separation so the QB can see that he is WIDE open. He's physical and makes 50% balls into 80-20 balls. Remember that it took Romo 2 years before he began to trust Dez and throw those balls. This is Dak's 8th game and as a rookie. He has wide open Witten, Beasley and friends to choose from so that's what he does.....throw to the WIDE open guy.

Chill... Dez is drawing plenty of attention allowing other's to get open even let Zek face one less Defender in the box. Enjoy the ride.

Dez a great home run hitter because it doesn't matter if he's beaten his man or not. He can out battle defenders.

But asking a rookie quarterback to throw into a crowd--esp. a move-the-chains risk-averse quarterback like Dak...

Prescott clearly doesn't have a high comfort level with Bryant.

I suspect it will improve some. But Bryant isn't going to see the volume of passes that he saw with Romo. He just isn't.

I'm not mad at the two Dez plays today that I saw in the first half (didn't see second half). Haden did grab his arm on the second one. First play Haden just had a good breakup. Threads like this is why I mostly come here for news updates. Most of you are annoying as hell

I'm trying to understand your point. Are you saying:
A. Dak is playing as a second tier a back-up quarterback
B. Dak doesn't throw the ball down field effectively?

I don't agree with either of these. I just don't think Dak wants to go downfield into a crowd. And perhaps...there also may be some trust issue with Dez's routes....

I'm saying that WR play is directly tied to QB play. I think the better explanation is what Risen Star said about Romo trusting Dez and throwing into coverage.

Yeah, you're right. That clutch TD grab late in the 4th quarter last against the Eagles was meaningless.

What did that have to do with this week? I have tried to be fair to Dez. He has good an bad. I can't help it if you want to defend everything he does. He's not perfect folks. Sometimes he's not even good.

Lool.

I love it when these guys say "he hasn't looked the same this year or last."

They're either not watching the actual games or simply conveniently acting like they didn't know Dez was injured last season.

I was actually only saying that Beasley's numbers are largely up because he's been virtually the only decent option at WR for Dallas since Dez was out. And his numbers are up because the guys at QB last year were Weeden and Cassel.
