Oh come on, don't give up so easily. I was just getting into it.OK, I am too.

I'm sure you are right. There are times where it can be hard to know if a poster's comments were meant in jest, but not in this case. .Omer, if you're looking for a sense of humor from that one, look elsewhere. I joked with him in my first ever response to him and he still hasn't forgiven me for it.
Oh come on, don't give up so easily. I was just getting into it.
I don't need an "argument" for calling you exactly who and what you are. You do the legwork for me with your blatant hypocrisy and double standards. A decade of excuses for your failed 'hero' while "McCarthy needs to win immediately".
What's amazes me the most is that you still show your face. Thankfully much less, but still, that takes either a heck of a lot of nerve or a total lack of self awareness.
Nobody's trying. I'm not the guy who's double standards on on full display for the world to see. That's you.
Post an argument that makes sense, and I’ll reply. The name calling and misusing of insulting terms isn’t interesting.
I’ve been 100% consistent with my point all along: Garrett was a good coach and the issues in Dallas aren’t primarily related to coaching.
And learn what “hypocrite” means and maybe what a “double standard” actually is before misusing them in a sentence to show off how opinionated you are.
If you thought it was coaching holding us back all along, and if you like the new Superbowl winning coach we’ve brought in enough, show enough backbone to back up your own opinion for once, instead of throwing poorly-aimed turds at mine.
For the record: I like McCarthy well enough. He’s a good coach, and a guy capable of keeping us contending. Since I don’t think the issue in Dallas was coaching to begin with, I don’t believe he’s the missing piece to put us over the top, but I hope he is. I can say all this and not have to push all my cards to the center of the table on him because I have the benefit of having been rational in my take on our coaching situation all along. Don’t get mad at me just because you’ve painted yourself into a corner on the topic.
Will McCarthy have us better than 8-8 or worse?
Newsflash! You are. And I don't care what yiu choose to admit or deny. I'm telling you exactly what you ARE doing.
And I think you're "utterly laughable", with your constant defending of a decade long failure coupled with a denial in doing it.
They didn't have the coaching talent. They certainly had the player talent. And everyone that covered the NFL knew it, or do you conveniently forget that anytime anyone talked about the Cowboys they said that? What they never said, and rightfully so, was that the Cowboys ever got great coaching under the Garrett regime, because they didn't.
And it finally got to the point where the head cheerleader and chief excuse maker even had to realize it. And chase his adopted son out of the building, kicking, screaming, and begging. And provided Garrett hasn't managed to completely squander the championship window, this group of actually capable coaches will do great things with the player talent they still do have and hopefully manage to retain.
I'll remember that "anytime soon" line regarding the new coach, from yet another guy trying to defend Garrett's decade of failure and not coming close to the same level yiu immediately expect out of the new coach. Double standards on full display.
And you've been 100% consistently wrong. Proven completely and utterly wrong, and your hero has been sent packing. And if you still can't bring yourself to admit that he was a failure and that you were totally wrong, maybe you should take your delusions to New York and stick by him.
Go stand in front of a mirror and see what one looks like. You continue to try and fail making excuses for Garrett and yet have the nerve to demand that McCarthy 'do better' in year one than Garrett did in ten years and still can't see your own hypocrisy and double-standards? That takes some real 'work'. And the greatest case of willful ignorance I've ever seen.
I'll gladly back it up. He'll take this team farther in 3 years than Garrett ever did in 10 years. Name your stakes. But no, someone like you, still butthurt that your hero is a proven failure and kicked out of town, has your panties in a bunch. So the coach who's actually won something is the victim of your scorn and suddenly gets the unrealistic expectations placed on him. There's your double-standards, there's your hypocrisy.
You run your mouth here and back up zero. Like I said, ten years of evidence and you still can't face the fact that you were totally wrong about Garrett. That borders on mental illness. Get checked. The rest of the world knows it and you still can't. That speaks to you and your problems, not anyone else's.
In other words, you can cower and slink away from yet another argument where you got it handed to you. Run your mouth and back up nothing. You don't have the guts to "push all your cards to the center of the table". Nothing you've ever said has had any teeth behind it, nor validity.
You have zero credibility and have been reduced to lurking around here. That's not hard to see at all.
You are just blowing hard with your hot opinions bud. I have agreed that Garrett failed to deliver any meaningful victory in the postseason (which we all knew already, congrats if that was what you wanted me to concede). I disagree with whatever this absurd conviction you have over him and the percentage of blame you assess to him for the Cowboys failures these past seasons. If you are under the assumption that Garrett brought zero to the table for any of the regular season wins, I disagree (is that defending him lol? I call it not being a blow hard).
I don't expect McCarthy to do all that much better this season, because I don't believe coaching was the primary driving force in not accomplishing all of our high standards.
I don't expect this team is 3 years from NFC championship or SB without a rash of injuries from opposing squads. I certainly don't think McCarthy is so much better to make that difference.
There is zero way to prove either of us correct. You would need to somehow insert another coaching staff during the years that Garrett coached and press play. We are all expressing opinions. It does not matter to me what the highly paid hype machine says. Have some medicine bro, you are pretty high strung. You may want to change your photo to Johnny Ringo. Just sayin.
Man, you’re a rhetorical mess. It’s cringey.
The point is that Marinelli has never been good when in charge, and he's been in charge of our defense for the past 6 years.
He made his rep on Tony Dungy and Monte Kiffins back and parlayed that into a HC gig where he failed miserably. He has never succeeded in anything more than being a DL coach under a good DC.
Two top 10 defenses as the DC of the Chicago Bears. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Marinelli#Chicago_Bears

If this Is an over/under 8 wins betting line, put me down for the over. Will McCarthy have us better than 8-8 or worse?
Amen. And that's not the only one. At a minimum the Cowboys should have been 10-6.
That all you've got? Yeah, run along then. You confirm my statement, you bring nothing. And back up nothing.
I expect playoffs, winning NFC East. We will talk after they achieve these 1st 2 goals.
Big Mike will have this team in the playoffs and we will be ALOT better now that the red headed freckled puppet has taken his zig ziglar act to new york.
