ok

what im going to say will upset fans.....but as Great as Ware was and hes a first ballot HOF who was snubbed of a few DPOY awards

D Ware didnt come through in clutch times to make the game winning sacks.....he made alot of sacks on first and second but on critical 3rd downs it seemed like he never made that big play

I wont put parsons above him but Parsons does seem to make the clutch sacks or tackles or had a hand in those situations
Thats why he was given the nickname “d-where”

I think Micah is already better than Ware ever was at his peak. Parsons is totally dominant and wrecks the offense’s game plan in ways that are more impactful than Ware largely due to his versatility.

Will he have Ware’s longevity? TBD.
Eh, I’d want to see Ware in the same scheme being moved around making it difficult for offenses to key on and game plan him before I made that decree! Micah is only 5 games into his 2nd season and is showing signs of wearing down and muscle fatigue. Where would he be if he was lining up predominantly over the league’s best left tackles every Sunday…just saying!

Parsons just needs to stay healthy and time will tell.

Ware was great. Deserves to be in the HOF for sure but man I don’t know if he just consistently wrecked games like Parsons does. That could also be due to Parsons having more talent around him so hard to compare.

The actual stats call you ignorant. Look them up.

Go back to 2008-09 when he was in the backfield in 0.2 seconds. Parsons is amazing. And may very well surpass Ware. But let’s not act like he’s a HOF in 1.25 seasons.
No, but we can compare those first 1.25 seasons. In those first 1.25 seasons Parsons is the better player imo.

Yes. And LVE had a better first 1.25 seasons than Lee Roy Jordan.

Let’s not say he’s already better than peak DWare. But it’s interesting most think he will hands down have the better career. It’s a pretty tall tree he has to climb. DWare is 9th all time in sacks.

People used to be VERY critical of Ware on this board; attributed most of his sacks to garbage time

the thing I love about Micah is he seems like he’s got his head on straight. He wants to be great…. He’s a student of the game. He’s also been able to handle the popularity of being a big time player.

He’s also a different from ware in some respects. He may end with less career sacks but more picks. Just don’t know at this point. but with every player in the nfl it’s about health. Micah states healthy I can’t see why he’s not in the HOF one day

I remember that, and his last few years here he was criticized by local media.
Just never seemed to do it when the defense needed it most here in Dallas.
Great player, wish they had someone else on those lines to help him out like when he got to Denver with Von Miller.
Those numbers would be much more incredible if he had a little more help at the time.

Ware was a great player.

But barring injury-

Micah Parsons will be among the elite to have ever played. He is absolutely alien in ability.

I sure hope he does, and more importantly, I hope he stays in Dallas for his entire career

DWare greatest pass rusher since stats became a thing for Cowboys. Does Micah surpass him?

Micah already tied with DWare for most sacks in 2 seasons.

And Micah is not even a third of the way into his 2nd season.

Pathetic the disrespect Ware is getting.

Ware is a future HOF. Read that again. To suggest Parson's will be "better" is such incredible expectations most of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment. "Ware rarely made plays when it mattered most" - what a bunch of dopes, the dude helped win the Broncos a Super Bowl by making plays when it mattered most.

Some of you really need to start thinking before smashing your keyboards. Your takes are braindead and embarrassing. Holy crap.

If you are basing on sacks only, it's not really a fair comparison since Micah doesn't rush the passer full time.
Micah could end up with less career sack total but have a bigger impact since he does much more than what DWare did on the field.

How much is Micah actually in coverage? And again, the 00s were different. Not every QB was throwing 35+ times a game. Teams were actually balanced.

Ware was getting sacks on less opportunities as well.

My friends think I am high but Parsons is the best defensive player I have ever seen. Can he sustain it? Who knows, however, I have never seen anyone do what he is doing on the field in so many different ways. He isn't just athletic either, he is a really smart player as well.
