Will Parsons have better career than DWare?

I love Ware too.

But Parsons is generational.

Comparison to LT is legit.

I don't care what label is slapped on Parsons. He's playing great, anyone suggesting he's "better" is very much caught up in the moment.

One is a future HOF, the other is in his second season. Pump the freakin' brakes. Some of the stuff being said in this thread is just completely off base - "he didn't show up when it mattered most" - dude raised his HOF chances by showing up on the biggest stage in football. Get back to me when Parson's helps even get us to the Super Bowl.

He's better.

All the NFL players recognize his greatness, this is not a media or fan creation.

And the NFL recognized Ware's greatness. You realize he was a first rounder as well, yes? Pick 11? That same first rounder that dominated while he was here then went to another team and was a key piece in winning a Super Bowl even when he was beyond his prime?

This is recency bias. Settle down.

Yea, Ware is not getting the respect he deserves in this thread. He ranks 9th in sacks in NFL history, and 4th for the most sacks by a LB in NFL history.

Ware never won a SB with the Cowboys so he must suck as bad ad Romo, White, Dak and others...at least, that's how many of our fans rate our players.....

It's recency bias. Give it time, Parson's will get on their bad side as well.

Only on this forum would a future HOF that was one half of the reason Cam Newton's confidence got shattered is already beaten out by a second year player.

Like I said I'm the biggest supporter of DWare - screamed bloody murder when Jerry let him go.

But truth is truth.

The fact that Ware was not a first ballot HOFer is a joke. Seriously, people need to look at his accomplishments

How was Ware not a generational pass rusher? He has exactly 10 less sacks than LT did in his career, and Ware played one less season than LT.

There is generational then there's GENERATIONAL.

LT is considered the greatest most dominant defender that's ever played the game.

Only other player in this discussion is Reggie White.

Think about that for just a second.

As great as Ware was, and he was GREAT, no one compared Ware to LT.

How much is Micah actually in coverage? And again, the 00s were different. Not every QB was throwing 35+ times a game. Teams were actually balanced.

Ware was getting sacks on less opportunities as well.

Ware played from 2005 on and they were already passing 35+ a game back then. Yes, the teams are passing more now but not that much more. Look at the stats below.

This is the passing attempts per game from 2005 season

1Arizona 41.9
2 Green Bay 39.2
3 Philadelphia 38.8
4 LA Rams 37.4
5 Tennessee 37.1
6 Las Vegas 37.0
7 Baltimore 35.1
8 New England 34.8
9 Miami 34.8
10 New Orleans 34.6
11 Cincinnati 34.1
12 NY Giants 33.9
13 LA Chargers 32.9
14 Indianapolis 32.6
15 Detroit 32.6

This is the passing attempt per game from 2021 season

1Tampa Bay 43.3
2 Kansas City 39.9
3 LA Chargers 39.6
4 Pittsburgh 39.3
5 Dallas 38.4
6 Las Vegas 37.9
7 Buffalo 37.7
8 Miami 36.2
9 Baltimore 35.9
10 LA Rams 35.7
11 Jacksonville 35.5
11 Minnesota 35.5
13 NY Jets 35.5
14 Carolina 35.2
15 Detroit 34.9
15 NY Giants 34.9

It's not "truth", it's your prediction. A really silly one because expecting a second year guy to go on to match a HOF career is lofty expectations. I am enjoying Parson's play, but this could end in an instant for numerous reasons. There have been players throughout NFL history that have dominated their first few years in the league and then fell off a cliff. Ware was a top 15 talent and would have been higher if that draft was done over, the same as Parsons. Difference is, Ware kept up his high level of play for a decade in the league.

HOF players don't just pop up so easily at each position.

It's funny because Broncos fans sing his praises - you can talk to them and they'll remind you of his crucial sacks and how he was a terror in those 2015 playoffs. Then you come here and fans say he didn't show up in crucial moments.

Cowboys fans behave like jaded ex-girlfriends.

I agree.

Ware is 1st ballot HOFer.

And best Cowboys pass rusher ever.

Until Ware.

Ware just elevates and enervates the entire defense.

Its mind boggling how much he effects his teammates.

Yeah I agree with all of this, the amount of disrespect and recently bias is alarming.

D-ware was literally the captain of a super bowl winning team, made the all-decade team, had almost 140 career sacks, made first or 2nd team all-pro 7 times, and went to 9 pro bowls

That's a god-like resume, people acting like it will easily be surpassed like it's nothing aren't giving enough credit. Parsons is literally a moderate injury away from none of those things listed happening (or hell even without injuries it's freakishly hard to sustain a resume that legitimate let's be real)

I don't want to talk about the length of Parson's career.

I've never been superstitious, but I will make an exception in Micah's case. I will not tempt the football gods.
