You should never joke about a medical condition especially involving someone’s family member. It’s going to be interesting to see if Will Smith faces charges. A few years ago Chris Rock made a joke about Will Smith at the Oscars so there appears to be some bad blood between them and it finally boiled over.

It is possible, but I still find it hard to believe Rock knowingly did that because even if Smith had not hit him, there would have been a huge internet uproar against Rock for making fun of someone suffering from a condition like that.

I have seen some backlash on social media from those who found the joke offensive. Chis Rock made a joke about her a few years ago for boycotting the Oscars due to its lack of diversity. We’ll see what the fallout is if any.

I am thinking this is a work. No one has watched the Oscar's last several years. Now here is everyone talking about it over this. If Oscar's ratings got any worse the networks probably would not show it anymore.... Also Sean Penn's tantrum to burn his Oscar trophy for Zelensky to have a spot also causes attention ratings....I think this was a ratings ploy nothing else.

Also, a comedian should be allowed to bomb a joke. It's a tough freakin' job, sometimes a joke will cross the line, sometimes it will be "offensive", sometimes it will bomb. It's Chris' job to make jokes, he's a legend for a reason and even got Will to laugh before he got the side eye from the one who wears the pants in the relationship.

Better yet, how about we just end the Oscars altogether? This is the first I've heard anything about the Oscars in years.

Really both men should had handle it better. As Chris may had crossed the line in joking about Jada, as what she has is no laughing matter. Will should had firmly but politely tell Chris that is my wife don't make fun of her. Really the fault on both sides.
