Metsies, Metsies, Metside. Oh My. Now Their latest Super Left Hander has a "partially torn" Lat muscle and will be sidelined for three weeks. Of course this coming from the same team where David Wright had a hamstring problem and would be out two weeks and may never play again, D'arnaud would be fine in a couple of days after a home plat collision and is still in a brace a month later, Zack Wheeler would be out just a few days due to arm fatigue then had TJ Surgery, Daniel Murphy would be day to day with a pulled muscle and was out three weeks, Michael Cadaver would be out a day or two and now need to go on the DL, (thank goodness) , Mejia had JUST a sore arm on opening day and was out half the season due to Steroids, and on and on and on. Their PR person needs some new material.

I am sure next week we will hear that Matz will need Tommy John surgery again.

Why did I have to be a Mets fan.....

apparently the Mets made Matz pitch even though he was hurt. I guess Pedro Martinez was spot on about Jeff Stupon making him pitch when he was hurt. What a horrible ownership this club has. And thanks to their Buddy Bud Selig, they wont be going away anytime soon.

When your ownership is worse than this guy, its bad, really bad . . .

Pretty sad if I am begging for Seinfeld to buy the Mets, heh

The mets are actually one of the dangerous teams out there come post season.

No team will feel good about facing that pitching staff. I know the hitting isnt there... But still. Opposing managers would lose sleep the night before. I'm sure of it.

As I understand it... Matz said he was achy but ok. I don't think they did anything wrong.
Pedro .... Really? No one "made him pitch" ... Come on man!

Couldnt be any worse than present ownership.

Baltimore 3-7 in last 10

It's over. You can wish and hope but they are fragile and wildly inconsistent.

For you

Ha Ha, it isnt anywhere close to over. The best team in the division is 3 games out in early July. Baltimore WILL win the division and all the pixie dust and HGH in New York wont be enuff to get them in the post season. Horse Head Giradi and company will be watching the playoffs and World Series on TV just like you and all Yankee fans.

Looks like that "cream rising to the top" is actually the head from a ice cold .yankee beer at the stadium!

That could happen.

Baltimore could very well win the division.

But quite frankly I'm surprised how poorly they have played during the 1st half and I don't see them with the talent to put some sort of 2nd half streak together like they did last season.

Yeah, and I could hit the powerball or Brady could play without cheating or mets could score more 10 runs in one month... Ok maybe the last one is possible. Lol

I have to hand it to the Yanks... playing much better than what I thought at the beginning of the season.

Indeed. Reminds me of 2014 Cowboys. These guys play for each other.

If the Yanks could get anything out of the 2nd base spot and get one more starter they could definitely represent the AL. I'm looking over the NL, and I have no clue on how the Cards continue to do it.

Cheating!

Cardinals - they are still thanking Washington and Darren Oliver EVERY Christmas!

Lol

If it's no big deal and it doesn't help...why do it?

If they play like they are capable of playing they should win the division. They've been too inconsistent so far.

Yanks are getting pitching from their relief and closer. That's the big difference I see right now.
