Matz with a record for rbis for a starting pitcher in his first game. the kid looked pretty good. I would not mind a Betran or Delgado in their prime with this pitching staff. But we settle for triple whiffers Zippidy Duda, Soup Campbell, and Michael Cadaver. At least Granderson has played his best ball in two years. Better trade him before he cools off again.

Tied for first.. .5 game lead.

It's like a blip on the radar.

Yankees playing bad more than baltimore playing good. It'll pass.... Lol

18-5 in their last 23 games. Ill take that blip .. Leading the league in BA with RISP. Yankees have already played their best ball of the season. Baltimore is just starting.

I get depressed whenever I see CC out there. No way should he be starting. It's a giveaway game every time and it's like the Yankee management could give a crap.

Mets lost 1-0 to a guy that has not gotten out of the 5th inning the last couple of games. Tonight he looked like Nolan Ryan. The good news is that Michael Cadaver hurt his knee. Does not know how he hurt it but a DL trip is probably in the works. Good news for the offense.

Terry Collins got a little testy with the media tonight. That wont do well in NYC.

Hey, the Yanks outscored the Mets by exactly one run... And lost too. :(

Anemic offense and a cc that is all over the place is a bad combo.

He doesn't get run support on the game where he pitches well enough to win.

How about iambaldy?

The guy is 8-2

We got some aces in the hole!

Tanaka
Pineda
Nova
Eovaldi

I like us in best of 5 series.

Get another bat and I like us in 7 game series.

All those guys could win a 2-1 game or get hammered and be out of game by the 5th inning.

Yeah, I've beat-up on Sabathia, but the rest of the staff has been all over the board. I wish there was one guy you could rely on to go out every 5 days and give you a quality start but the Yanks don't have him.

Best Pitching staff in the league. Good for playoffs. Bad for Orioles.

Skanks pitching staff has moved up to 11th in the AL just ahead of the Blue Jays in 12th. Orioles dropped from 5th to 7th after serving up meatballs for 2 nights in a row to the Rangers.

Orioles are 4th in the AL in hitting and the Skanks are 6th.

Not only will I take the better pitching and hitting team to win the division but the AL leading defensive/fielding team is Baltimore (3rd in MLB trailing the 2 leaders by 1 % pt) and the Skanks are 13th.

What this says is in the 2nd half of the season the orange cream will rise to the top as Ive said all along and the other 4 teams will battle it out prob finishing in this order:

1st - Baltimore
2nd - Tampa
3rd - Toronto
4th - NY
5th - Boston

And with Miller on the shelf the bullpen cant do it all for the team. They never were going to be able to keep up their early season pace all year anyway.
