too old to be watching stressful September baseball in a penant race. I am not 21 anymore. Mets with a great comeback win tonight. nats have to be done.

Nats have been do ex since they relinquished 1st place.

"Yanks' Nathan Eovaldi unlikely to return for remainder of regular season" :(

That's going to make things that much worse.

Rest him up. Start him game 1 of playoffs. He can handle it.

As you've said all along. You said it before the season started.

Yankees 77 wins .... 25 games left
Mets 77 wins.... 24 games left
Orioles 66.... 24 games left

I know one team that won't make 85 wins... Might not even make 80 wins.....
Heck .... Going 3-7 in 10 games won't even get them to 75

With the exception of Chris Davis and Manny, and the bullpen, its been a bunch of under achievers. A few injuries but nobody has stepped up. As much as the Yanks have over achieved this year the Orioles have under achieved. Maybe its the curse of RG3 in that region. The Nats have disappointed as well.

Shreveport should have NEVER been pitching to Davis. That was a gift.

You couldn't be more wrong,
The Yankees haven't overachieved. The team has mega paid talent. The team has mega farm talent. The team has one of the best managers in baseball. (He's worth more than one Buck)

The players are doing their job.
Unlike the orioles. (They never got over last year sweep) ... Buck is gone soon.

Thats some funny stuff. That great manager made a great decision last night in the 9th with his pitching staff. If he was such a great manager with all that mega talent he should have a better record.

Great, but not infallible.

Record good..... and fighting, not dying, down the stretch. Punching and counter punching.

Orioles, just getting punched.

The Yanks might be feeling the pressure. Lose 2 of 3 to the wing clipped Birds. If they get swept by the Jays, or lose 3 of 4 we'll know they're feeling that pressure and they might not even make the post season. Im sensing a possible collapse.

Really old guy... You are takng pleasure in a hurt Yankee.

I think the loss of Eovaldi hurts more than the loss of Tex.

I go back to the trading deadline and how the BJ's ramped up while the Yankees did nothing... that's propelled one and the other just sorta stagnated.
