Will Tony Pollard take the RB1 position for good Sunday?

Will Pollard be the starter for the rest of the season?

Right, because every theory you’ve peddled has summarily been dismissed.

Now you’re laughably left trying to create a correlation between long runs and TEAM win/loss records.

What happened to your yards before contact theory Ronald? Wanna go through those numbers?

I have never done any such thing.. I have simply debunked YOUR declaration that long runs are "important" and "impactful." If they were, the teams for which they play wouldn't have such crappy records. But I am content to let you continue to advocate about the importance of something that has been so clearly demonstrated to be unimportant when it comes to winning games. Each person is entitled to his or her own fantasies.. It's still a free country after all.

Luuuuulz, right, nevermind factoring in a given team’s QB play, defensive ability, special teams, receivers, officiating, et cetera. You know, ALL THE THINGS that actually go into determining the outcome of a game.

Nope. In your simple mind you equate long runs = losing records.

Brilliant.

This game will forever be known as "The Tony Pollard Audition Game."

What an incredible opportunity for the young dual threat player. With Malik Davis as the #2, I think we'll see Pollard get at least 85% of the snaps.

He has a chance to make a massive impact week 8.

22 carries for 120 yards and 5 catches for 40 yards with 2 total touchdowns.

Will Pollard become the new starter after week 8?
Pollard could have the best game of his career Sunday, run for 200 yards and will still be nothing but a change of pace back… because that’s all he is!

Wrong question. Better question is, will Malik Davis come in and fill the role better as a power back and make ridding of Zeke even easier after this season.

I don't think Zeke or Pollard will be on the team next season.

Keep trying.. your attempts are comical. You claim long runs are important and impactful.. I counter with the facts that the guys with the most long runs are playing for losing teams. It's not that long runs equal losing records.. It's that long runs clearly DON'T equal winning records. I know you understand the difference though you will continue to pretend you don't because that's what trolls do.. I'm done wasting time with this because I'm not changing your mind and you sure as hell aint changing mine.

As much as I want to believe it will become true, I cant help to think of Troy Hambrick and also the other #21 Joseph "meat on the bone" Randle. I hope he's more of a Maurray than the other 2 I mentioned once his number is called to take the reins.

Who's Maurray?

Maury Povich?

So, you’re literally just repeating what you said and claiming you’re not saying it.

“Long runs clearly don’t equal winning records…”

What they are currently doing is working so why change it?
Always room for improvement.

Not sure the exact snap share, but I'd say it's about 60% Zeke and 40% Pollard.

I think it's definitely possible that the run game and the offense as a whole would be better if Pollard gets 60% and Zeke 40%.

Jerry and company will stick with Zeke as the number one running back regardless of Pollard posting the first 200 yd game rushing by a Cowboys running back since DeMarco Murray. This will be the start of Tony Pollard's dash for cash as he will most likely demand a hefty contract in free agency.

And if you’re wrong will you stop, and get some of the others with the same thought process to stop also. We all love Tony, and want him to succeed. But for the life of me I don’t understand why y’all don’t get how well this system works. It works for everyone involved and is the reason our running game is so strong. It also is a big reason our QBs have a decent amount of time to throw the ball.

I’m more worried about his lack of pass blocking ability. He is not good at picking up free rushers

Dual threat? So far he’s not the best reviving neck in the team. Send had 2 60 yard receiving tds

He'll have over 100 yards, Davis will have a bunch and then there will be a negative Zeke thread, lol

Regardless what happens though both Zeke and Pollard will continue to get touches. Pollard does have an opportunity to equalize the 60/40 carry split if he does well though.

we will see

and Kellen needs to give him 20 carries if not more especially if we're up trying to milk the clock......

he also needs to fix his pass protection....

Still no.

You don't know that until Davis gets his snaps. We aren't talking about a backup QB coming in - it's an RB, they are a dime a dozen. All Davis has to do is show a little more burst and similar power to Zeke, even if his blocking skills aren't as good, and cutting Zeke this offseason would be a no brainer.

I'd do it either way though. Cut Zeke and look to bring in Hunt in the offseason or go to the draft in the second or third round.

If you don't trust a running back to handle the load, then you're not going to give him the load. I think Moore will abandon the run, because he doesn't think Pollard is physical enough to handle the abuse.
And he may be right. So a heavy pass offense just may be in vogue this game.

Yeah change of pace backs run for 200 yards all the time.

Such sound logic.
