With Rico coming on as of late, can we start to cancel the Henry talk?

No one to block for him.
Not sure what people don't get about this. Possible marginal improvement but we just can;t consistently block. We also have some QB issues. Maybe som coaching issues. And a GM/owner problem. That all still exists with or without Henry.

With all due respect, what evidence is there that Deuce has improved? He's got 11 carries for 30 yards....3.0 per carry

I do agree with you that he's not been used much but we can only assume that the coaches aren't seeing enough from him in practices.

Rico Dowdle is averaging 4.8 yards per carry behind this " crappy" line
How many carries?

Hats off to Rico, nobody thought he would be doing this well when given touches. At the beginning of the year is was a running back by committee and nobody knew what we had in Rico. We didn't know if he could carry the ball a lot of times.

We all wanted Henry, Henry wanted us, we know what took place next. With the running that we're doing with Rico can we dismiss the Henry talk? I'm not saying he's better in anyway so please don't go there!

I was watching the radio show and someone mentioned the Cowboys wanted Rico to keep running the ball, he had just gotten two good runs, but signaled he needed a break! It was said the Cowboys wanted to keep feeding him
I knew and so did many others here, that we didnt need zeke at all, and rico was a good rb , and should be the main guy with 20 to 25 touches a game.
But jones boys and MM had other ideas.

While he would not have had the impact he has had in Baltimore, he still would have been light-years better than what we have trotted out this year, including Rico.
Think of what the 1- 2 punch may have looked like with those 2.
It was a asinine decision then as it still is today.

Sorry man but that just isn't correct. This coaching staff (and I mean all of them) don't have a clue how to use Deuce. There has been zero effort to incorporate him into the offense since he was drafted. I watched him his entire career at K-St and the difference in coaching is light years apart. Frankly it's embarrassing how little effort the Cowboys are making.

Waste of his remaining career. He has a chance at greatness at the end of his playing days. Instead of gaining the stench of defunct trash. Get that.

I'd rather they draft Jeanty if he's there at 12 but I know even if he is it will never happen
It won’t the DeMo injury almost guarantees it but I could be wrong

There’s WR, DT,LB and RB all huge needs my guess is RB can be had later if they’re smart enough to do it

Jeanty who is love to have also is gonna have a lot of mileage on him he gets quite a few carries a game

DV was a joke of a pick and drafted cause his Dad is associated with cowboys and he ate Alabama for breakfast in college

He’ll be out of the league unless someone grabs him as special teams returner

What this means is if we had Rico and a drafted running back with some speed we would be in much better shape then we are. That said, we are running the ball now because Rush sucks and we can't pass block worth a crap. Therefore the fall back plan is to run the ball more.

Nope. We backed into Dowdle. This team had no idea he could run this effectively or we would have been giving him 20 carries a game all year. He hasn't been a featured player ...... there still isn't an offensive commitment to him. If we had brought in Henry, he would have been a primary option from day 1 and the offense would have been structured more around a run game. Henry and Dowdle would have been a potent combo backfield.

Stop with these attacks on Jerry and Lance trade. He achieved exactly what he set out to achieve, Dak signing a reasonable contract knowing that we had a successor franchise QB.

Rico/Zeke then provide the (cut price) running game.....in Jerry's mind he's thinking i'm paying over $90m CAP to a passing game.
I can’t tell if you are joking or not. Dak beat the top apy by $5 million dollars and got a no trade clause lol.

Rico ran with some pop last year as well.

Hes a solid overall rb but I one thousand percent am against the process that led him to being our starter.

Its the idea they banked on him and a shell of Zeke to be our rushing attack that makes me sick.

To make matters worse it took these coaches half a season to see what was already reported in camp. Rico is far and away our best back.

Next off season I dont want to bank on Rico again either. I think we can let him test the market and comfortably match whatever he's offered. That said I hope we can draft a rb with speed to be a part of the attack. We need someone who threatens to house it.
What makes you think the Coaches did not see this immediately? GM Jethro decides who plays.
