Some of you guys are harsh and a bit unrealistic. I was a nice kid, did well in school, graduated college, immediately got a good job, had good parents, and now have a nice wife and kids.

But in my 20s and early 30s, I did some Zeke-like things:

Gone 100 miles an hour - CHECK
Got a DUI - CHECK
Involved in a few bar fights - CHECK
Liked going to clubs - CHECK
Liked and did pick up women in said clubs - CHECK
Did some experimentation - CHECK
Wore a man purse - OK. NEVER DID THAT.

Now I am a dad with a nice wife, two kids, a good paying job and fairly darn responsible.

The difference for Zeke is the social media and ridiculous amount of attention he is getting. His behaviors aren't really out of the norm. He has shown no indication that his activities impact his daily life or performance on the field. He doesn't seem to be Johnny.

Hell, less than a year ago I went 160 mph on the hwy. (1000cc sport bike).

Been a while since I broke anyone's nose in a bar fight but I did do that in my 20's. Had to go to court a couple of times and I quickly saw those partying days needed to go bye-bye.

Never drove drunk, so no dui.... actually never really drank much period. But I was plenty dumb enough to get a dui.

If messing around with women was illegal... I would have been in the state pen, lol.

Getting DUIs. Not normal 20 something behavior. Getting a DUI at any age isn't normal behavior.

I want him to be on the field for every Cowboys game.
I do not want Goodell to suspend him for his behavior.
I want him dominating on Sundays.
I do not want the commish taking him away from my team and hurting my teams chances of winning games.

That's what this is all about. And that's why we criticize Zeke for his off field behavior. And if you want the same things I want, you would also want Zeke to change his off field behavior. That way, what you want would have a better chance of being realized.

I could have mentioned a number of players Sean Lee, Tyron Smith, Cole Beasley - single and married guys - who know how to stay out of trouble and out of the spotlight of negative press.

Yeah, I fit the profile you're talking about and guess what? I was arrested not once, not twice but third time is a charm. I had a few friends that had DWI's but I was more the exception than the rule.

If you want to defend Zeke getting into alleged fights and carrying on his current pattern of behavior then don't complain when he gets suspended or claim there is some sort of bias against him. You seem to be openly admitting and accepting that his behavior is normal and therefore shouldn't be a concern which makes me wonder if you know is conduct could result in a suspension, why wouldn't you be concerned like a lot of us and want him to tone it down?

What "decorum" can you definitively say Elliott violated in that club? He is a single young man with the right to do single young man things. The media needs to stop propagating non-factual information (fake news) and you as a fan needs to stop eating it up like it as if it is real sustenance. There is no video of Elliott hitting anyone, no police report stating he hit anyone. We have conflicting witness testimony that amounts to nothing. But folks like you = public opinion that thinks you have the right to convict an innocent man. A private business can employ whomever it wants but it's personal conduct policy needs to be fair to that persons personal life and not be influenced my fake news hearsay.

What "decorum" did he violate? Surely you jest. He was present and is somehow (whether he threw the punch or not) involved in a situation that now has a police investigation. He's brought negative PR to himself and the Cowboys.

I can guarantee you that Garrett, Stephen or Jerry (or all three) are going to have a discussion with Elliott over this matter, regardless of whether he threw a punch or not. Because for one, they write his checks and have the right to expect better behavior and better decision making from a guy they are paying millions to.
