Witten & Ware Updates

No, just a lot of hackery and gall. Remember, noticing anything wrong after a shellacking by a hated rival is tantamount to being [strike]honest, objective and sane[/strike] "miserable." The homers? Calm, cool and collected no matter what the score--unlike you panicky "overreactors."
Point of parliamentary procedure squirt gun, but I haven't even seen the game yet. But by all means, do your manly misery and don't let me stop your he man act.

For me it is about how I was raised. Hard to explain, but I let other people freak out. I handle it as calmly as I can and move on.

You handle it but you are still upset when the Cowboys lose. If you weren't you wouldn't be at a Cowboys website. Maybe you have more control but that is simply posting style, which again, everyone is different.

That's life tho, some people freak out, some stay calm, some like red, some like blue...some prefer salt, some pepper.

Just because someone freaks out after a loss doesn't mean that staying calm is better, just different. Honestly, if everyone had the same demeanor after a loss(or a win) this site would suck...it takes all kinds to make for an interesting forum.

I'm actually unusually calm tonight. After the way the Rangers lost the WS, tonight just didn't bite as hard as it usually would. My heart was already cracked and broken, this game just stomped on the broken pieces.

It seems odd that you can put such ridiculous amounts of time into this forum, your posts, and book, yet not be terribly emotionally invested in this team.

When both my college teams lose, the Cowboys usually complete the trifecta and my fantasy teams win. I have three of them this year.

3-3.

I'd trade the fantasy wins for the real ones, but that is about as far as I can allow myself to freak out.

I am emotionally invested. I just don't let my emotions drive me. I drive them.

You can't tell from the board reaction that we lost, and lost badly? If not, you're less perceptive than I thought. No one's in the mood for meaningless personal stats after a bad loss. Kinda not a high priority right now, and kind of a violation of your "24 hour" rule to boot. Then again, when you're congenitally incapable of criticizing the team or management for fear of appearing "miserable," this is what happens.

This season:

Ware -- 12 sacks
Rest of the team combined -- 9 sacks

Of course I can, but if you think I care what you are in the mood for, you've got another think coming.

Tony Romo also passed Don Meredith for 4th on the Cowboys all time pass attempts list. Choke on another stat.

I criticize the team quite often. Not my fault you're blind to it. Must be the tears.

Close. He's invested in Jerry and Red (see the Buehler thread). Can you believe that Andy Reid beat us and he didn't even go to Princeton? It's true!

Just wanted to tell you thanks for coming in and dumping all over a good thread.

Smooth move, bro.

BYU is known as the "Harvard of Utah."

I think it's more of a display of how awesome Ware is that the rest of the team being bad.

"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

Can't bring yourself to justifiably criticize the team after a humiliating loss? Just change the subject!

Andy Reid has beaten us more than any coach in recent years. In fact, he may hold the all time record for a Head Coach in wins against Dallas. I should look that up. He's now 13-0 coming off a bye week, and is a damned good football coach.

BYU is hardly a second rate academic college.

God man I can hardly wait until the day finally comes and we win a Super Bowl and the CowboysZone exists at the same time.

The last SB wins there was no CowboysZone and I would LOVE to see what this place is like after winning it all, rather than the inevitable infighting we all do after losing.

I figure this this place would be one huge lovefest and I can't hardly wait to experience it. :)

Once again Mr. Wonder, I haven't even seen the game yet. Wake your dog up, grab your cane, and mosey on.

BTW, do you know who could care less about those stats right about now? Ware and Witten. If only some people would follow their example.

Lead on caboose.

I'll do what I wish. I have been updating their stats all season long and I will continue to do so even if the chapping of your *** causes you a nasty rash.

We lost 34-7. I eagerly await your rosy spin in tomorrow's "Touch of Senility" installment.

sneak preview:

"Darnit all, call me a homer, but I still like and believe in this team. It's a marathon, not a sprint ... yada yada yada."
