Witten & Ware Updates

Whoa now. Lets get some sycophants together and berate this guy for trying to ruin such an important thread. Internet message board legends don't just grow on trees. We should all sleep better now that we know useless stats.
Nice job puckering up to bbgun's backside since you claim that's what people do who support me. Enjoy your sycophant status as his lap dog or shadow.

I never said the thread was important. You and he did by evidence of the fact you both just had to comment in it, multiple times.

There are some people on this forum who avoid anything I say because they just can't stand me. Feel free to join them. I promise you, I will not miss your contributions to stuff I am discussing in the least.

Have a nice day.

Not for me. I don't understand a desire to feel that way. To be proud of it is really beyond me. Raised different.

I was raised where I praise the team when they play well and criticize when they play poorly.

My parents were weird like that.

I agree that we shouldn't care at all about these stats after that performance last night.

However, Ware has a real shot to reach 100 sacks in 7 seasons. That is ridiculously outstanding.

I hope Garrett gives Ware and Witten participation trophies or some sort of star sticker today.

Ware is the first linebacker to get at least 12 sacks in the first seven games of a season. And he's only 3.5 sacks away from becoming the first linebacker to have three seasons with more than 15 sacks.

lol, does it take alot of inner strength to post stat updates after losses or something?

PS Ware is awesome.

I just meant posting something decent instead of complaining about the obvious.

No loss nor passage of time warrants the kind of reactions and name calling that bbgun and others are resorting to in this and other threads.

And complaints about the team are one thing, but to piss and moan because someone is updating a weekly (win or lose) thread about two of our franchise's all-time players' historical achievements is ludicrous. Don't like the thread and want to whine and cry? Find one of the other hundred threads to do so.

I agree with you and great couple of posts. bbgun is not worth responding to any longer, imo. The last few threads I've seen him initiate attacks and when someone defends themselves, he accuses them of attacking him, it's amusing.

I think all of us can be rude in posts from time to time, he does it consistently. He shall be the first I look into moving to ignore.

When the going gets tough, shockandroll takes a powder. How terribly brave. Don't worry; you'll always have your homer support group to fall back on.

The irony of this post cuts like a samurai sword.

Yeah but if we win the Super Bowl we'll be too happy to care. :)

You say that, but there are people in this very thread that will find something to complain about.

Losses rarely bother me. I've seen hundreds of them in my time as a Cowboys fan. Bad ones like this and worse. There will be more. There could be worse.

I don't get too up for wins, nor too down for losses. Inside, this sucks. But I refuse to wallow in self pity even with other Cowboys fans who are doing it.

I've kept this thread up all year. I see no reason to stop just because a bunch of grown men want to be miserable.

I read this and had to respond because I feel the same way, even against the loathed Eagles. I remember the days 25 years ago when I lived and died with every loss. But after 30+ seasons of being a fan, you start to look at things in the bigger picture. The old "one game at a time" applies as much to fans as it does to players.

I'm not happy about the loss, but we live to fight again next week. The losses that really sting are the playoff losses, both because of the gravity of the loss and the sinking knowledge that football is over for another 8 months.

Thank you, DeMarcus, for putting things into perspective.

Sacks mean little to DeMarcus Ware

By Todd Archer

PHILADELPHIA -- DeMarcus Ware had a career-high four sacks Sunday at Philadelphia, but in a 34-7 disaster the outside linebacker was hardly happy.

“It really doesn’t matter,” Ware said. “We were able to get some pressure on [Michael Vick] but we’ve got to go back this week, watch the film, correct the things we need to correct and get better. We can’t harp on how things went this week. You’ve got to get better and it’s just one game.”

Just pointing out a fact that even Ware himself brushed off today. But don't let that deter you from making things up. It's what you do best.

Have a great day right back.

Yup, I read this earlier. I'm glad some of the players are actually concerned about these losses. We were unprepared and pathetic last night. Anyone who has played team sports would hopefully understand it's tough to appreciate individual accolades after getting your *** handed to you.

Some people need to understand the concept of "time and place." Trumpeting meaningless fantasy numbers in the wake of a loss is akin to intentionally farting at a funeral.

What about people needing to stay out of a post that they don't think is appropriate for the time and place...

The Cowboys lost...that does not mean that info regarding a few players of ours can't be recognized, does it?

If this post puts you in a foul mood? Guess what? You are only putting yourself in a foul mood be reading it.

;)

I mean...common sense. bro!
