I think the assistant thought another player from Mexico flicked the ball back to Dos Santos. That is about the only way it could have been offsides. Just a bad call.

Yeah the second one was on the ref. When it was flicked on he was in an offside position so the assistant, who's too far away to see which head it came off, was right to put his flag up. It's up to the ref to spot that it was a Cameroon player that got the touch and award the goal
