Question... Portugal loses 4-0 to Germany. My friend said Portugal can win next two games 2-0 each and still doesn't matter?

Can someone explain that to me?

If portugal wins its next 2 games theyre in period. That would mean they beat both usa and ghana. USA would have to beat Germany and have (a bigger goal differential or goals scored?) than Portugal. But USA isnt going to beat Germany. I dont think they lose at all. Theyre the team i have winning it all.

But much of the Mexican reputation has been built winning or tying matches versus Brazil.
They have seemed to match up well.

But in this world cup??? If Mexico is competitive that's a big sign for them going forward.

Mexico has beat this very same team already in the Olympics. And in the U20 world cup. Granted it is years and they have gotten better. But sometimes a team just has a teams number. I wouldnt rule out a win or tie. But then Mexico could have the brain fart they had in Concacaf and lay a egg.

why would I be. You were the vastly inferior team all day but found a way to win. Good luck against Germany if you play that way. Will be fortunate if you only lose by five in that scenario.

If Portugal tie the U.S., they would still have to overcome their goal differential going into the last game and hope Germany beats U.S.A. by at least a couple of goals or more.
