Hah, hah, he scored an own goal while wrestling the opponent, completely oblivious to the ball, what a Donkey.
Problem is, against a team like Spain who like to keep the ball (and are adept at doing so), You can end up chasing shadows and running Yourself into the ground. Will Russia pick up the pace now? I'd like to see them put a little more effort in their movements/running.
And maybe the Russians are just not well conditioned. They seem much slower than the average world cup teams.Problem is, against a team like Spain who like to keep the ball (and are adept at doing so), You can end up chasing shadows and running Yourself into the ground.
More quality defending 1-1.
Maybe even Brazil.I cannot imagine what it would be like if Argentina, Portugal and Spain all go out in three consecutive games
It looks like that Russia is playing for PKs as they have this bunker down mentality. Everyone behind the ball which is frustrating to play against since the passing lanes are tough to come by.So i'm guessing Russia won't win in PK's, Russia needs to win now or in one of the overtime periods.
Random question....
Has a South American team ever won the World Cup away from the Americas?
It has to be rare, if so.
