Essentially, doesn't the facemask call make up for the two holding calls that Dallas got away with? I mean, even Witten was looking for a flag on one of them....

I'd have to agree, but they also missed holding calls on Washington. The officials weren't very good, but them aside, Dallas still did a lot to shoot themselves in the foot.

3 penalties in particular: against PI Roy, Unecessary Roughness on KDavis, and facemask on Kosier (at the end)

Those 3 penalties lead to 3 scores (17pts) 3, 2 and 1 plays after the flag. They capitalized on our mistakes.

15 yarder is if u tackle the player by his facemask.... there was no tackle

No, it's fifteen if you are agressive with the face mask, tackle or not. That call was a five yarder. Incidental.

It was definately a face mask, his head defiantely turned fully sideways and fast. Some refs may have called that a five yarder some a 15.


Don't be a sore loser. You lost the game. If the rest of the team has the same attitude you do than the Cowboys are certain to lose a bunch more.

They should be blaming themselves for not playing better.

Look, what don't you get, for it to be a 15 yarder, the player has to be pulled down by his facemask. That is the rule. Refs should not be allowed to go make things up. which is what happend on that play. So don't come over here and tell me not to be a sore looser. I didn't play the game I am not a sore looser because I didn't loose. I am pissed that the refs directly affected teh outcome of the game.

you don't get it, that would have to be ruled 'incidental facemask', according to the rules, a 5-yard penalty, to get the 15-yarder, his facemask would have to be pulled in the act of him getting tackled, which he didn't

That happens on just about every facemask. This facemask lasted for a split second. And Kosier has one finger in there... which quickly slipped out.

If this isn't incidental, there are no more incidental facemasks.

There is nothing in the rule-book about tackling the player or bringing him down for a 15yard facemask.

5 yard penalty: Grasping facemask of the ball carrier or quarterback.
15 yard penalty: Twisting, turning, or pulling an opponent by the facemask.

And that my friend is a textbook 15 yard penalty, why you ask, because Taylor''s head is twisted around. No twist, only a 5 yard facemask

I wish Kosier grabbed it for a 15-yard penalty. Kosier would have stopped the play at that spot. Tack on 15 yards from there; field goal try is 75 plus yards. Consider it a gift Commanders.

How often I read on this board about Joe Gibbs complaining about the refs.

In the past 3 hours, there have been countless threads and posts with identical sentiments. You guys can't have it both ways.

Another missed call - how about the trip on Randle El on the punt return? And Witten's blatant hold on the Glenn TD. The list goes on and on just like it does in EVERY NFL game. It's just part of how the game pans out.
