Those things are nothing, they happen on every team.
Whatever happened in SF or Philthy did not happen here, that is a good thing...YET
Obviously he had some problems. Every player does. Every person on earth does. No one is perfect.BrAinPaiNt;1353078 said::laugh1: :laugh2:

All in all, TO's good outweighed his bad,IMO, but a lightening rod like him has to be very productive to be worth it. I wonder if he can come up with a dozen TDs this coming season to be worth all the drops and drama.
WV Cowboy;1353113 said:That was anger at the media not at Owens that caused him to storm out of a press conf.
He told them he didn't know anything and would let them know when he did and they kept on asking.
He wasn't mad at Owens, he was mad at the repetative stupid stupid questions.
Agreed. I don't see how getting frustrated by the idiots in the media qualifies as Parcells not handling Owens.Dallas;1353109 said:I recall him leaving a meeting once or twice because reporters refused to hear what he was telling them. Can't blame the guy. Just a waste of time if the media chose not to actually come for other questions than to just stir the pot.
He would not talk about TO and whatever situation was occuring then. BP would not feed anything to the cockerspaniels because he didnt want it misinterpreted into something entirely different and add fuel to whatever pretend fire the media had going.
Most things regarding Owens - died down pretty quickly with this approach.

Coach Parcells was lying when he said that the whole situation wasn't nearly as bad as painted in the media.

i hope so. i also hope his distractions will be minimized tooWV Cowboy;1353103 said:Some of you boys are going to have a loooooong off-season and an even looooooooooooonger season because Owens will be one of our players next season.
THUMPER;1352995 said:I am praying that whoever the HC is he will dump Owens. We don't need the guy and no HC needs that headache.

ESPN ?
Media ?
You ?
Owens never turned out to be the "devil" that some wanted him to be, no matter how bad they tried to spin it that way.
Parcells has said as much, several players have said as much, we were 8-4 at one time which says as much, and Jones says he will be back which says it all.
