Would the Cowboys be 4-1 with Dak?

Not likely. The offense would still be playing Dak-ball. They'd still be plagued with sacks, pre snap penalties and holding calls while Dak tap dances around with happy feet. He seems a shell of his early 2021 self. Can he fix it...well we'll find out shortly. Rush has shown the way to win, now it's on Dak to continue. No more excuses.

The way Daks head and play was messed up towards end of last season and the 49ers game plus the TB game before his thumb injury....
If that was the Dak play we would’ve gotten...I’d be skeptical of same record. The dude was bad. No denying that.
I’m hoping he comes back with a vengeance and determination like we’ve never seen....
hope springs eternal

O-line, can't run the ball, no Gallup, no Cooper, Tyron S. protection bad, Mccarthy, Play calling by Moore, Zeke, Need pollard in there, Ankle problems still, He needs to run more, Bad shoes( my favorite) , ..........................................." It is better to offer no excuse than bad ones"!

We'll never know for sure, but let's apply some logic here.

In the 86 career games Dak has started, his teams average 26 points a game. The 5 games Cooper Rush has started the team averages 22. With how the defense has been playing I would guess the Cowboys would be 4-1 as well with Dak led teams having averaged 4 points more a game.

Before anyone brings this year's Tampa game into the equation ask yourself if you really want to compare 1 game vs 85 others. If you argue this is Rush's first season that's not true he's been in the league 5 years in meetings on the practice field, etc. Dak led teams averaged 26 points a game as a rookie while being thrust into action as well.

Mystery debunked, lol?

If we got Dak from game one the answer is no. If we got Dak before Oats injury I’d say we’d probably be 5-0

Be honest; if Dak hadn't gotten hurt in the 19-3 drubbing at the hands of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, who believes the Cowboys would have won the next four games?
Do you think a Dak led offense would have beat Cincinnati and Los Angeles- last year's Super Bowl teams- and the now 4-1 Giants and 2-4 "Commanders" in a 4 game stretch?
If YOU were the qb they’d be 4-1 right now.

Yes….I honestly believe so. As those who hate Dak would say if we were 4-1 and he was playing, we have not beaten a single team with a winning record yet.

Reminder...we started 5-1 with the top offense in the league last year.

It is possible we don't win one of the rams or bengals if we don't change of offensive approach by being pass happy.

It is not a forgone conclusion that we would not be in the same position we are in now with Dak but it is very possible, due to the overly conservative approach, especially in the rams game, that we could have lost another game or so.

I think so. Yes
It's not like the offense has done anything remotely special. Average at best.

But Rush has done well enough and we will never know for sure.

Just be happy to be 4-1 and move on.

The only reason we wouldn’t be 4-1 with Dak is because the Cowboys would still be pass happy with Dak having to carry the offense. The Cowboys have been playing offense much more conservatively with Rush to avoid him making mistakes. We’re running the ball much more and trying to get the ball out of his hand quick. We’re not being real creative on offense and aren’t taking a lot of chances. He only had to attempt 16 passes last week because of our running game and defense.

We couldn’t run the football in the opener and our defense wasn’t nearly as good as we’ve seen since Rush took over. Tampa put up over 150 yards rushing against us and we only sacked Brady twice. That’s not nearly the same defense we’ve seen with Cooper Rush at QB. Fans are kidding themselves if they think we would have won that game with him but you have a lot of fools on here that hate Dak so much they’ve brainwashed themselves into believing that. Lol

More like you have brainwashed yourself into thinking Dakota is anything more than mediocre

So what happened against the Buccaneers? They were held to only 19 points.

For the 97th time. Yea already, brother. Where's that "beating a dead horse" emoji. Lol

Last year at this time Dak was 4-1. He scored 29 points against basically the same team. Last years D isn't the same, take away that bad call at the end and he would've been 5-0. This defense is the reason we are 4-1. Kellen has dialed back the offense and we're running the ball more because Rush is the QB. He's done a GREAT job of driving the bus. Honestly, I hope they stick with the "Rush Friendly" offense when Dak comes back. The 2016 offense would be a perfect fit with the way our D is playing.

What happened in the first game? Arrogance. I don't know whose call it was to rest all the main starters on offense in the preseason. I guess they figured since they did the same last preseason and the offense came out smoking in the first game against the Bucs on the road, they could just flip a switch and come out smoking with no preseason snaps. Very stupid if you ask me. Many people here said the same thing. If all the Bucs/Chief starters played in the preseason then so should our starters. Again, it was arrogance.

So to answer answer your question. Yes I do think we would be 4-1 with Dak. :)

How can someone, who regularly has ALL his clothes knocked off from line drives he can't catch, manages to hook so many people into "honestly" replying to an unprovable hypothetical?
