Would this make Romo's return on 11/22 pointless?

You're talking silly. Past injuries are irrelevant. If you are healthy you play. You never sit healthy players. It's bad for business ( ticket sales, players incentives ect) , and for morale, and sets a bad precedent. I understand the situation. The situation in San Diego is they are 2-6 right now and have no chance winning their division or wildcard, so wouldn't it be " smart" for them to sit Rivers for the rest the season. Don't want him to have a season or career ending injury do ya?

I could care less about setting a bad precedent for morale or business or whatever you wanna call it. Romo's health is most important and I could care less about other teams we're talking about OUR team. If this team is out of contention for the division it makes no sense to bring Romo back. Who cares if he's healthy? There is absolute zero reason to risk his health is this team is out of it. Past injuries aren't irrelevant. That's ridiculous. You have to take into account Romo has sustained a serious injury each of the last three seasons. Not worth the risk. Period.

You could care less, but other people do. That's why regardless of how ridiculous you think it is, he will play. There's no doubt that he will. Period X 2.

The dude is paid to play. If he is healed up & can play, he should be on the field. Now, if he's not 100% I would think it's smart to ensure he is fully ready before playing in a meaningless season.

Jerry cares about Romo and his health more than anyone in the franchise. I don't see him putting him out there if the season is lost. Did you forget he did the very same thing in 2010? He could've came back, but didn't because the season was over.

Let's see how this plays out. We will know in a couple of weeks, how the front office deals with this season.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that. We don't know how much time Romo has left. I'd hate to see this be another wasted season. One win tonight and this isn't even a discussion anymore.

If they were to lose 1 of the next 2 I would prefer it to be next week not tonight on national TV

Bringing Romo back with no shot at the playoffs would mean Jerry is on drugs

All that sounds good but I said if we are 2--7 and the Giants are 6-4. But hopefully we can win 1 out of the next 2

If we're 2-7 and the Giants are 6-4, Romo is still playing until we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

There is no way in hell the Giants are beating the Patriots.

They just gave up 52 to New Orleans and you think they'll beat New England? LOL not gonna happen.

I'm inclined to agree with this.

But....

After a game like that... That d may tighten up.

The pats are due for a loss.

Any given Sunday.

It's crazy how we're not totally out of it. Hoping for a Jints lose today, and we need to take care of bidness tonight.

That would leave us essentially a game out of first place. ha ha. Talk about a pathetic division.

if they continue losing like this after tony comes back there will some serious moves happen the hc and his staff will be under lots of pressure

I don"t think the defense can improve enough to help Romo and the offense.

The bigger disappointment to me has been the lack of turnovers and sacks by the defense.

Injuries have contributed but Lee again is hurt and the LBers have been ineffective.

Thats too much to overcome no matter how Romo plays.

I mean we are losing to average teams who are scoring 30÷ points to beat us.

Thats defense..not offense causing the losses.

This makes no sense at all. If the season is LOST why in God's name would you risk Romo getting hurt again? What if he hurts his back again or tears his ACL? Next season is over before it even starts. If they can manage to win one of these games of course you bring him back, but at 2-7 the season is likely over and it would make zero sense to risk Tony's health.

Sounds like you are advocating that every team bench their starting QB when they get eliminated from the playoffs.

I don't care about other starting QB's. I care about Romo. He's 35 years old. Has been banged up the last few years. Just doesn't make any sense to me to trot him out there if we're not in it anymore.

If we had a QB that we were grooming then maybe you think about but. ........

We don't draft, much less groom QBs. Plus giants aren't winning their next 2 games and will be lucky to still be standing after NE rapes them next week.

Giants are struggling against Tampa Bay and might lose both games before we lose the next 2
