Would you be happy with a Super Bowl loss?

Yeah, because it would mean Romo, Witten, and the rest got to experience a super bowl. I don't want to get into the blame game, but it's a shame that the stars on this team have had so little post season experience as Cowboys.

If it was close game though and hinged on 1 or 2 plays then no I would rather not make it at all than lose like that. Losing the SB like how the Pats lost to the Giants in both SBs (where Eli starts pulling out magic plays out of his a**) would drive me nuts for years.

I know some fans are more disappointed by a tight SB loss than a blowout loss but I prefer a close SB loss over having the crap beat out of you in all phases of the game. In close losses there's a lot of what if's but in blowout losses there's no going back blaming it all on one or 2 plays it was decisive. To lose a SB is tough but to be humiliated is another thing. When Denver losses a SB they don't kid around. The sad thing for Denver was they were viewed as the better team vs Seattle. To take a beating like that when you're favored is embarrassing not only for the organization but for their fan base.

No way would I rather see the Cowboys take a SB beat down than to not have them get there at all. At least a hard fought tight game can still leave fans and their team feeling a sense of pride in the way they performed. The Cowboys 3 SB losses were by a combined total of only 11 points. Although they lost those games they were down to the wire nail biters that had everyone including their opponents respecting them after those games were over.

to get to the Super bowl and to lose. that is devastating to me.
To go through 2 weeks in anticipation of that game and to lose. Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

then how is losing and not making post season or losing in post season any better? lol I know if I were playing I would much rather get to the SB and take my chances of losing than to not be there

I guess I can agree to this if I have to answer the question :)

The broncos were blown out in every one of the five Super Bowl losses.
 
Super Bowl losses are tough to take, I will give yall that.

But, if we were to make it and lose, I would be cool with that. It means two more weeks of Dallas talk along with Romo and Witten getting to experience that feeling. The public's persona of Tony will diminish some and it might even propel them to win it the next season.

After these last two decades.............give me, the fans and the team that experience! :starspin:

I was just going to mention that because Bills fans have experienced both an embarrassing blowout SB loss and a down to the wire nail biting SB loss. If you ask Bills fans they'll probably say the one point loss to the Giants was the most heart breaking because not only did that SB come down to a game winning FG attempt that ended up going wide right but it was the Bills best opportunity to win a SB. The Bills looked as if they would blow the Giants out taking a 12-3 second quarter lead after Hostetler was sacked for a safety. The Bills had an opportunity to take a sizable lead after receiving the free kick but they couldn't move the ball and the game started to turn.

They lost but played with heart being down in several of the playoff series, but you could see they were leaving every thing on the ice every game. If some one told me last October they would be in the cup finals I would have laughed them out of the room.

Kind of the same thing going on this season with the boys. I figured 8-8 maybe 9-7 for the season.
IF they made the SB and gave it all they had and lost, I'd love it.

Rangers fan here too. Gotta be honest, losing in the finals wass brutal. The hopes get so high when get there that the loss is hard to recover from - regardless of earlier expectations. I think I'd rather lose in the NFC championship. I don't know. Either way really sucks.

My friends hated the Giants loss but getting blown out by us Multiple times really eats at them. Of course my constant reminders don't help.

It's bad enough losing 5 SB's but being blown out in all 5 is ridiculous. I find it funny that when Denver gave up a SB record 55 points to SF the Broncos had the #1 defense. :laugh:

yeah losing is never fun but did you expect to even sniff the finals last season? I didn't.

I'm sure all 4 of the Bills SB losses eat at them. How a team can lose 4 straight SB's is beyond me and everyone of them came from teams in the NFC East.
