Would you be mad if Seattle offered a Earl Thomas for David Irving straight up trade?

Unless there's something going on with Irving behind the scenes, which is very possible if the reports of the Cowboys disinterest in keeping him are to be believed, I wouldn't be interested in that trade.

Guys that can get to the QB aren't in abundance and a player openly campaigning to play elsewhere while he's in uniform just rubs me the wrong way. That was a major league d-bag move by Thomas and you'd all agree with me if he did it in a Cowboys' jersey.

True, but we also have no idea what is going on behind the scenes in Seattle to make him make such a bold move. He hasn't been a low character guy. I think he is expecting the boot, and just wants to end his career playing for his home/favorite team. Adding him wouldn't hurt whatsoever imo. This would also free up moving Byron to CB, which I think is a much better spot for him. Byron is soft, Thomas is not.

The best safety in the NFL for a flash in the pan DT who’s one failed drug test away from a 10 game suspension? I do that trade in a heartbeat.

Best safety in the NFL? This isn't 2013.

I would laugh so hard if we obtained him and he had a crap season.
Everyone and their dags would blame the coaching staff and I will revel in it.

I honestly think Earl Thomas would play really hard here - His Favorite team - I also think he sees a Very Up and Coming Secondary & Team his veteran/ Superbowl leadership would really go a long way with our boys in the secondary he can also make up for some mistakes i am sure !

He had some beef with Bobby Wagner from what i understand not sure why.

I Think he would be a great addition to this team he would lead the secondary

Lee leads the Linebackers

Lawrence leads the Line

NICE

This would be, honestly, my preferred option.
I adore the thought of obtaining E Thom and him leading this D with our new, badass passing coordinator, who's going to be our next HC.

Let's keep this train moving.

Kris Richard is our next HC.

Edit: I should have put that in Bold... let me do it back up there...
Double Edit: Done.

Thomas could really help with implementation of Kris Richards system I see no downside with adding Earl - I mean Ed Reed played at a pro-bowl level till i think age 34 if i am not mistaken no reason to believe Earl cannot do that !

Hmmm, interesting. But, if Irving is healthy and motivated, I would prefer him to stay. Keep him on the DL and if Seattle wants to move Thomas, then use draft picks for him. I don’t give up a 1st or 2nd for him. If Seattle doesn’t budge, them ET stays home

I get the feeling david irving think's he's more valuable than even d.lawrence. ergo, 2nd round tender is the most likely option. we'll get to see how others value him and can match it or take the pick.

Talent wise no
Irving is much younger and has shown he can be a dominate player when on the field
That said I suspect there is something with him that scared the team. It’s not injury issues, we’ve signed guys with as many if not more. The suspension issue comes down to do you trust him to put that behind him
The rumors of not participating in off season programs, late to meeting and all are concerning
The kid is super talented but can you trust him to get serious and put football first
That’s the issue that we don’t know the answer too and the team has to figure out

I think its the concussion that took him out for 3 weeks.
