Absolutely. Always thought he did a lot with what he had to work with, unlike lately where we have guys who seemingly have a lot to work with but don't get nearly what they should from them.

As far as head coaching candidates go he is high on the list. I'm open to the idea, but would prefer a strong performance the rest of the season by Garrett.

Jerry will pick someone he can tell what to do and will keep his mouth closed and take Jerry's money. Just like all the other head coaches jerry has hired since Jimmy left ... the only exception being Parcells.

Right now not looking to replace HC. As for Zimmer I actually would not have an issue with it. He has been a very good Defensive coach who has yet to have the oppertunity to take on the role of HC. All he can truely be judged by is how he has perfomed and lead players on the defensive side of the ball.

NO!!!! I was not a fan of corners playing 10 yards off on 3rd and 3. He's only looked good in Cincy because he has a beast Geno Atkins to single handedly collapse the pocket.

if the inevitable occurs and we are without a head coach?

Absolutely! Only Zimmy could turn a bunch of spares like Daleroy Stewart, John Nix, and Willie the Blade in solid players in his scheme. :)

Lovie would be a better fit. It would guarantee that Marinelli would stay on board.

Yeah and Bill Parcells was only great because he had LT wreaking havoc. Funny how that works.

Would I replace one good coach nobody in Dallas appreciated with another good coach nobody in Dallas appreciated? No, because he'd be a step down from what we've got already.

said perfectly.

if we tank and Garrett gets canned, my biggest preference would be a coach with the reputation and demeanor to demand respect and authority from Jerry.

there are only a few guys like that out there. As much as I wouldn't want him, a guy like Gruden would fit that criteria.

How about replacing one who underachieves with stars with one who managed to produce with scrubs?
