I would be happy as a pig in slop if we won and were right in the conversation for 2-3 years and then needed five to rebuild

You don't understand that you can also look at it in other ways.
The question frankly was kind of stupid; one or the other and no other possibilities which is DUMB

It's basically the a similar type of question as would someone date this person with some bad outcome, or this less appealing option, but the outcome is potentially better.

It is not necessary for it to be. The OP question is straight forward and should not be taken from hindsight or foresight.

The caveat that you had no hope to get past the NFCCG is a deal breaker - if there is no hope to win it all then any regular season win loses all meaning to me.

Super Bowl duh.

Like asking me if I’d rather win the lottery or come close 10 times.
Unfortunately many like the kinda close hoping things go their way. Why win the lottery it takes away all the fun of playing it, just have to laugh.

That's like....the whole point of the question. Its a would you choose this, or that" scenario. Why not just look at the other 98 million threads and avoid if it's so dumb.

A) 1 SB in 10 years, 7-10 for 8 years
B) playoffs EVERY year...but not Superbowl.

1943: "I choose the option where we win the SuperBowl 12 times in 10 years, and where I win 50 million dollars, and find the fountain of youth"

Thanks for participating

People nowadays would run him out of town since he only one 2 superbowls in 28 years.

They would have hated him after Roger retired.

Reason i hate people nowadays.
I get what your saying here Z but Landry was more than 2 SBs in 28 years. (He was actually here 29 seasons)
  • 20 playoff wins in 29 seasons. (Since Landry left, we have won 16 playoff games in 35 seasons; 4 in the last 27)
  • 2 SB wins
  • 5 NFC championships
  • 7 conference championship games in 10 years (We have played in zero in the last 27 years)
  • 20 straight winning seasons

9 straight years in the playoffs as well.

You are not the only fan who has that perspective. Me?

I have loved watching Super Bowl victories.

I have been frustrated but proud over Super Bowl losses (because my franchise reached the final cut).

I have been disappointed and upset over every NFC championship, divisional and wild card loss.

All that said, I have enjoyed every single win and disliked every single loss, outside preseason games of course. :) A win is a win for me. I am grateful for that one team win in the 1989 season. I am grateful for those sixteen wins in the 1992 season.

Older fans like myself can still hear Jim McKay's words in our heads, "The thrill of victory. And the agony of defeat." Losing should never feel good in my opinion. Winning should never feel bad as far as I am concerned regardless of their quantity.

The experience has always fueled me as a fan. So when a question is posed asking whether I would choose a single Super Bowl over multiple postseason appearances in a decade's time, I will choose Super Bowl every time.

All non-Super Bowl wins are exactly the same. Every Super Bowl win is unique. I will always side with that unique experience over those that are not.
