Back to back years of high level play. His last contract was 5M a season and he hadn’t shown this yet, y’all think he’s gonna sign for 8M?

Someone will pay him as dang near a CB1. He’ll get 11-13M AAV.
That’s possible
But it’s also possible you could sign him for around 8
At 8 or so I’d sign him in a heartbeat
It’s all about structure
Awuzie got 7 Jones got 16 avg
But that doesn’t mean they will get all that money
I think if you look at avg pay for a CB then around 10 is probably what he’s gonna get offered
You can get him cheaper by extending now and throwing out a lot of guaranteed money, then you can spread that out and have a last year with a big cap number to make his avg high so his agent is happy

Reasonable contract similar to jourdan Lewis, yes.

thinking more like 4.5-5 million year range.

otherwise build through draft.

Have a feeling he is going to be one of those guys they have to let walk in order to sign other players on the roster.

This thing with bossmanfat is concerning. It's great that he is getting snaps on special teams, but I need to see him play CB more and the fact that he can't beat out Anthony Brown or even make his seat warm feels like a problem. I'm not counting on him to replace anyone and I really hope it's not a similar situation to Randy Gregory where we invested a high amount and don't want to part with it too early because of "ceiling"

It could be, brother. Unless he's involved with another murder. Let's hope he's learned from that. But I doubt it because that's the culture of the genre of music he's involved in. There's was a huge red flag raised on him coming out of college. When a coach tells his best defensive player to get lost before a bowl game, that should tell you something about his character. People here were saying that we could've gotten him later in the draft. I'm starting to see why they said that.

Might have to be the price we pay for making a terrible pick of Joseph when I think we could’ve had Asante Samuel Jr

Joseph has a place on this team. And he's holding down his spot lights out.

We won't know about him until next year, most likely. But he's played very well so far.

He's a top 5 CB2 in the league and has been for quite some time. If those that don't see it don't understand some of the terrible defenses/lines/DCs/HCs he has played with.

No. You have to give Joseph/Wright/Bland the opportunity to prove themselves. Diggs is about to break the bank.

I'd hate to see Brown leave, but you're right. There is some young talent that need to take his job for cap purposes.

Maybe Brown gives a hometown discount.

This guy is so underrated.

He won't be here next year.

He’s been an actual late round pick that has been productive for us a long time. What you hope for from a late pick. Every year we have to put up with our fans slobbering over these late round picks or those udfas who can’t get on the field, but brown has been out there. so, yes I think he’s under rated.

resigning him depends on so many things. How much will it cost? Is there a younger player behind him ready to step up? Who is available via free agency and what will they cost? If we have to replace him via the draft then what round range are we looking at? I appreciate what he’s done for us. We don’t have to answer these question for a few more months. But if the answers to these questions point to an upgrade then let’s do it. I’d welcome him back though if we don’t get the answers of those question to replace him.
