If Dak stinks up the joint next year which is highly likely, he won't be firmly planted at starting anything but a backup on some other team. Dak is not an NFL QB because he can't read defenses and he can't throw worth a flip. Without Zeke, he's toast.

Bullcrap ......... if you cannot see what was happening last year then you have no clue about footbal.

Say Broncos were willing to move him for 5th or 6th rounder. We know Jerry went after him pretty hard during the draft.
Two things.

1. The Broncos aren't moving him for a 5th or 6th rounder.

2. Jerry didn't go after him pretty hard. If he did, Lynch would be a Cowboy today. Yes he was on the radar but let's not get carried away.

Mullen is supposed to be good with QBs. I truly think Dak was hurt after the Atlanta game. Direct result of poor coaching. That game alone should have gotten Linehan and or Garrett fired. To allow a young QB to take a beating like that is ridiculous. I also think the Smith and Zeke missed games hurt. Plus he is overcoming the worst offense system in the league. I mean they run the same play, same formations all the time. Add it up and I am confident Dak is still the man. Plus he wasn’t that bad anyway.

This system has basically 4 plays ran out of multiple formations. But it doesn't fool anyone. not any more. The theory is...we are so good and efficient at running these plays, so stop us.
out dated system, out dated thinking.
Dak may still be the man, but they need an offense that will let him be that man.

That's just dumb. You people that are done with Dak are ridiculous. You let your hate for Dak make you say the stupidest stuff. You are so desperate to justify your hate for Dak, you'll just say anything. Dak is the Cowboys starting QB folks. I get that you don't like it but he isn't in danger of losing that job... and Rush is firmly the #2 QB
I dont think its hate for Dak as much as he was exposed for not being able to throw the football into tighter windows with man to man especially 15yards down field. He needs to be able to hit enough mid range passed accurately to back defenses off. I think he had great first season but how many times have we seen this happen in the NFL.

I still have faith in Dak the player. But he's at a crossroads. He needs to show in 2018 that he is, in fact, the player we thought he was in 2016.

Unfortunately, I do not have the faith that any of the coaches involved in the process can adequately help him to achieve that. In fact, I consider all of them part of the problem and not the solution. And anointing a guy who is nothing more than a Linehan vanity project to jump right into a coaching position is yet more evidence of that.

1. your opinion

2. see below...
Missing out on Lynch had Jones up late on Thursday night, lamenting a squandered opportunity to get his desired heir to Tony Romo. The owner wishes he would have overpaid the Seattle Seahawks to get a deal done.

"When I look back on my life, I overpaid for my big successes every time," Jones said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "And when I tried to get a bargain, get it a little cheaper or get a better deal on it, I ended up usually either getting it and not happy I got it. Or missing it.

"And I probably should have overpaid here."

Jones said Friday he was still stewing about not snagging Lynch.

"I was still mad about it," Jones said. "Actually thought we had it done.

Im not sure that Dak is the man but your comments about LInehan and Garrett being fired after the Atlanta game need to be revised. They should of been tied to a post and whipped then fired. I was so angry after that game and I hate Garrett with a passion because that was the biggest game of the season and everyone knew it and Garrett and linehan just layed an egg. Pretty much did the same thing 2 more weeks and everyone said their missing Zeke. They did ok rushing the ball it was about the passing game and protecting Dak and finding ways to get players open. Falcons, Chargers, Eagles arent any more talented than Dallas is but they are better coached and those 3 teams made Dallas look like a high school team. And every one of those games could of been worse score wise. Those teams took their foot off the Cowboys throat while in scoring range to let the clock run out.

He's a 4th round draft pick that needs time to figure it out, no doubt but it's still too early to be giving up on the guy. I'd give him next season to figure it out or we move on to someone else.

I remember questions about his work ethic. On the surface I would love to bring him in, but not if hes lazy and unwilling to put in the time.

My problem with Lynch and its a BIG ONE:

Lots of details about how he does NOT like to work hard at being a top QB. To me that is every bit as big a DISQUALIFYING factor as being football stupid for a QB. He is a smaller version of Jumongus.
