That's just dumb. You people that are done with Dak are ridiculous. You let your hate for Dak make you say the stupidest stuff. You are so desperate to justify your hate for Dak, you'll just say anything. Dak is the Cowboys starting QB folks. I get that you don't like it but he isn't in danger of losing that job... and Rush is firmly the #2 QB
exactly 22-10 and two winning season Albeit a let down this last season, and they want to get rid of him.. whats paxtons record? LOL

Say Broncos were willing to move him for 5th or 6th rounder. We know Jerry went after him pretty hard during the draft. Maybe the kid just needs a different scheme.......

NO. NO. NO. NO. a desparate team for a QB. and they are passing on him. that should tell you. glad we didn't trade up to get him.

I would be willing to do that, but only because for that price it would be a decent deal even if all he became was a solid backup. The reality is if the Broncos were willing to part with him for a 5th or 6th rounder that would be a huge red flag.

I would definitely keep it low round -- 6th or 7th. For that, it may be worth it in case he shines like he did in college. If not, maybe he could be good enough to be a solid backup. If he doesn't work out, you've only spent a low round pick. But if they want something like a 3rd, forget it.

A normal organization would do this! But since Dak had a magical season there is this sense of entitlement that Dallas hands out when one player has a good season. Cooper Rush should of had playing time in that last game against the Eagles because he should of been evaluated for next season. Dallas might be better off though going after Nick Foles in the off season instead of Lynch.
I agree with you for the most part. I wouldn't go after Foles, he is a system QB just like Wentz. Eagles traded too much to move away from Wentz and Foles will look at a big contact which I dont think Dallas should pursue.

Wait....so you think Lynch would be cut.....yet, you want to trade one of the three that loses? What value does any of those guys have if Lynch beats them out or if Lynch loses?
Well the way I figured is he will get a chance to showcase his skills. I'm betting on a decent performance in preseason but if he bombs of course there won't be any value there. I think Denver could trade him right now for a late round pick at the least though.

dont know why this is a topic...we have Dak and we have Rush....were set for the future at the qb postion for better or worse and its time to focus on developing the two of them. I am all for bringing in a UDFA qb to be the number 3 but 1 and 2 are set

Use those 5/6/7 picks you would potentially trade to get better from 53 up....thats always been a problem with this team, good at the top, poor at the bottom. You have to have quality throughout the roster to be competitive and to absorb injuries and IF this team is going to be commited to growing through the draft, as the strategy indicates, then we need to hold on to picks like Charlie and his golden ticket....

And he's better.......
while i dont disagree, lets be fair...rush has really only played in a handful of preseason games and was less hearlded coming out of college...saying hes better is doing a lot of assuming.

I don’t make it a priority to disparage my fellow cowboy supporters but this thread is making me reevaluate my priorities

You really see Lynch as a no-brainer, and don't think it would be a big red flag if the Broncos were willing to part with a 1st round QB for a 5th or 6th round draft pick?

I would probably do the deal just hoping he could become a quality backup, and anything else would be gravy, but lets not act as if the Broncos dumping him for so little return supports the idea that all "normal" organizations would jump on the deal.

How many games has Paxton played in? Successfully? Hearlded coming out of college doesn't mean squat. You should know this.

Not even close to an assumption.
